Are there any PCB-making services that solder components?
« on: Mon, 27 February 2017, 10:04:13 »
I'm in the process of learning about PCB design, and I've been looking at some websites that offer PCB manufacturing services.  From the few that I've managed to read into, it seems they will only make a bare board, and you would need to solder the components.  Are there any services that will solder on your diodes, and Atmega32u4?

There are lots of them but they are absolutely not cheap. Not worth it if you are a hobbyist.
Look for "Electronics prototyping".

There are many, many places that do this. Depending on the size of your order you can give a call to for example pcbway or foxconn.  :))

Yeh I'm interested in ordering maybe 100x units.

I recently discovered that PCBway.com does it, but I'll have to learn a bit more about what my final design is going to consist of before I can ask for an accurate quote.

if you are learning PCB design, I would highly recommend to buy a smaller number of boards and solder them yourself first (or ask for a test series before the 100qt series), so that you don't get 100 boards with some small bug. It can be difficult to get everything 100% correct in the first revision, especially if you are new to the stuff
