So... I have been fairly happily rocking my Filco MT2 TKL /mx-reds (o-rings) and Vortex PBT doubleshot keycaps..for 2~yrs now..

Honestly ..  after adding the PBT keycaps right after getting the Filco I haven't messed with this board or tried other boards ..just use the Filco and I'm pretty happy with it.. I like TKL and I like mx-reds.

But curiosity /the desire for new toys has been starting to build so I have been looking at the KBParadise V80 w/ either fukka or matias switches for something different?

anyway have any thoughts on build quality vs my filco / overall quality of the switches

the mechanical keyboards I own have mx-browns or reds

I own a KBparadise v80 with fuhua alps switches (or fukka as you call them) and it's VASTLY different from any MX switch. The closest comparison would be an MX brown switch if it was 10 times as loud and 10 times as tactile. browns feel almost exactly like linear switches to me, after I've tried alps switches. It's a huge difference.

It's incredibly satisfying to type on, and a great well built keyboard overall. However in my personal case I find the switches to be too heavy for playing starcraft for hours on end.

So you definitely need to consider that the switches are much heavier than MX switches. They also bind on off center key presses to a small extend, and the keycaps are a bit wobbly. They also make a reasonably noticeable ping sound every time you press a key. All this is the nature of simplified alps switches, and it's not really that big a deal.

All of that is just the switches, which really is the biggest difference from this keyboard compared to any other 80 % board.

The build quality is nice and solid, and I haven't had any issues with it so far :)

In general, Alps-family switches activate considerably higher up than Cherries, which can be made into a significant advantage, depending on how you type.
From the US Constitution, Article 1, Section 8 :

The   Congress   shall have Power

To provide for calling forth the Militia  to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;

hmm.. the loudness maybe a deal killer.. before I put the dampers on my Filco mx-red my wife would kinda get annoyed by the noise of the filco..

Matias Quiet click might be the switch for you then. Just as tactile as the normal matias switches, but much much quieter :)
