Hello,
If I were to order a set, what would I need to order (just enough/necessary) to build the keyboard itself?
(1) Basic Case : ($280) : Top, Bottom, SS 3T weight, 3T acrylic diffuser
(2) Plate(ANSI, ISO, Univesal) : Brass($55), SS($35), Silver Alu($35)
(3) Weight : Changing Brass(+$44)
(4) PCB : $60
(5) Adding 8 pieces Metal Gasket : SS($20), Gold-Plated SS($20)
(6) Bag : $30
In addition, you will need some switches and keycaps, as well as the shipping cost of the keyboard. If you really wanted you could forgo the PCB and handwire the switches to a teensy, saving $40, but I wouldn't recommend it. You'd also lose the RGB lighting that's presoldered on the PCB
There are currently some group buys going on for some cheap switches, depending on what you want...
For keycaps, you will want a set that supports 1800 layout, which will come at a premium
