Parking and building location info
« on: Mon, 19 June 2017, 08:12:36 »
Hey everyone!  The con is less then a week away, so I thought I'd post this!

Timing

We're going to start setting up in the rooms around 10AM, and will hopefully be fully set up by 11AM.  Attendees are welcome in the rooms anytime from about 11AM till 8PM.  If anyone would like to arrive early to help set up, that would be welcome :)

Parking

All parking will be free of charge

Most of you will be entering the Villanova area from the blue route (476), which will drop you onto Lancaster Ave.  You'll see most of the university's buildings and main lawn on the left-hand side of the road as you proceed along Lancaster.  When you hit Ithan Avenue, make a right, and park in the only large parking garage on the left. It will be labeled I-1 or Ithan Garage

For more information on where to park, please take a look at the Villanova parking garage map:

https://www1.villanova.edu/content/dam/villanova/publicsafety/documents/MapofCampusParking%20Changes(2016-2017).pdf

All cars in attendance have to have the guest parking permit for Keycon 2017 on their dash boards.  Please print one out and leave it visible when you park.

Building

We will be using rooms 2001 and 2010 in Bartley Hall on Villanova's campus.

Here's the Google Maps pinpoint for the building:

https://goo.gl/maps/2y2YgVZR9DF2

The building is right at the intersection of Ithan Ave. and Lancaster Ave. and has large signs at all entrances with the name displayed (Bartley Hall or Bartley School of Business).  For those who park at the Ithan garage, you will exit the garage after parking and proceed along Ithan ave towards Lancaster ave. (away from the small bridge over Ithan ave.) and cross over Lancaster Ave. to Bartley Hall.  Once inside, there are stairs and elevators available to take you to the second floor, where we will have the 2 large auditorium rooms at the far end of the building: Rooms 2001 and 2010.

I will try to post some signs around the building to help direct to the proper rooms.

Feel free to ask any questions.

Quickly made this to keep as a guide for myself, but sharing it for anyone else that wants it. Just some of the info from above on the map.

Do you need help setting up/taking down? What time should we plan to be there?

If I'm up in time (and there's a decent chance I won't be) I'd be willing to help set up.

If you'd like extra time for setting up a space for selling caps, you may feel free to some anytime after 10am.  There is no registration, just print and display the parking pass if you're parking at the con.

Awesome, ill be sure to print the pass. I may be a little later than noon depending on the traffic/if I can afford zipcar for the whole day.

Thanks!
