I believe these are the same boards as the Ricercar SPOSs (same seller), and have Cherry Browns.

I second the Cherry browns (the article number is G80-blah, blah, blah). If you missed it the first time, now is your chance. These are fantastic 'boards.

Speaking of Browns, not only did I trade for ricercar's pink MX11800, I snagged another off eBay for $20+shipping.  When the eBay board got here, the trackball didn't work, and the seller just gave me a full refund (letting me keep the board).

That refund plus another $7 just paid for the SPOS.  Score!

Aside from the Browns, what does everyone like so much about these? The compact layout?

Obviously the price is pretty good, but I'm not dying for all those extra buttons or a credit card reader. Plus you have to deal with the short right shift key and tilda placement.

WARNING: That thread shows Pictures from the old auction; Serial number 0000019 is within my arms' reach, not with that seller. However, IIRC Tamsolutions IS the seller of 0000019 to me, so forgiveness is possible if this batch s from the same batch as the last batch.

The compact layout is nice. More importantly for my enjoyment, there's a tight feel to these Cherry browns that is unmatched with any other Cherry brown board I own. It's sort of like the difference between the feel of single shot and double shot key caps. I'd pay money for one of these if I didn't already have one. Heck, I even replaced a key in mine (Thank you ripster) to make it perfect instead of superior.

Compact layout

Cheap (for an NIB Cherry brown 'board)

Programmable

Some of the better-feeling Cherry brown switches available.

Durable keycaps

The layout sucks a little, but it's not horrible, though (I could easily make it a daily driver).  That said, the plusses far outweigh the minuses.

Its a bit frustrating.

From his auction -

We will not end an auction early...please dont ask

I want an 8200 anyway, but I would have hit one of these if he hadn't closed it.  I want to play with the programmable keys but I'm not sure I can handle the lack of alt/meta keys on the right hand side of the space bar.  With the 8200 I could program a HEX keypad and some extra keys for macros etc.

Wooot it's back!  And I'm back from Hawaii.  Man this keyboard is awesome.

My M13 came in, it's an awesome beast to behold.  Love it.  It's not that loud either.  I have to seriously consider buying more of these.

When these keyboards were listed earlier they sold for $70 buy it now.

Salcan - it's in every post I ever posted. :)

BAAAH thats what I get for being out of town for 10 days, this listing is over.

Mine arrived today.  Serial # 36.

A number of the clear keytops were loose in the box, F7 was completely off its stem.  I put everything back into place and discovered that I was short one clear keytop.  Solved this problem by swiping the clear keytop from ESC, and replacing the ESC key with the black one I took off my Filco when I installed the Red ESC.

I need a Red ESC for this board, though.

I'll put a clear key cap thing in the bag with the spare purple caps for your 11802.

Did you get a CDROM with your SPOS? I didn't and I'm still annoyed.

The clear tops are looser than Tiger Woods in Las Vegas.

I've already decided to take them off the Fkeys.  Unfortunately the FKeys from the MX11900 aren't as tall and don't look right, although they fit on the stems.

Mine arrived less than 10 minutes ago and I'm already typing on it! This is actually the first Cherry board I've typed on that doesn't have stabilizers in the Shift, Enter or Backspace keys, which makes them feel less stiff like they usually do on a Cherry board.

No CD for me, though it did come with a small plastic bag with two tiny rubber pegs in it. There's a sticker on it that reads "KeyBoard Feet - Do Not Discard". I plugged the pegs into two holes i found on the back two corners of the bottom of the keyboard they raise the keyboard to a comfortable angle for me.

Now on to trying out the card reader!

The clear tops seem to stick better when there is a label under the top.  I'm wondering if a drop of rubber cement or something might help them stay on.

The MX11900 has keycap C in the F-key rows and numpad.  Maybe keycap E will fit better in the top row.  It seems like there is only one relegendable keycap.

I am going to look for a G80-3000 to get keys from.  That should work nice.

Heh.  Tamsolutions is located in lindon, utah.  Didjmatic is located in bountiful, utah.  It's about a 50 minute drive.  They were sold "in local store".  Didjmatic is the only one selling these on ebay.  Looks like didjmatic's auctions are the only way to get these from now on.

That show really hit the ****ter this season.  It started to play like a broken record.   Bill gets into some ****; he devises some cockamamie plan to solve it which it does but starts some other, bigger ****; rinse and repeat.  Oh, and there's some other stupid, bull**** drama with the wife and kids.  In season 4, Bill's company goes under, the casino fails and Bill dies of a heartattack and sleep depravation from having to constantly deal with bull**** and not handling his work responsiblities.
