I would second the color sample requests, I've been hearing weird stuff about off colors :/

Agreed, would rather be safe and have to wait a bit longer to get a color accurate set

Same here, would much rather wait longer vs getting an inaccurate set

Fuuuck, that's bad.

OK, no way I'm going to send the full payment before I receive color samples then. I've only paid for the molds thus far (an advance of sorts), and they're still in production. After those are done, theeennnn i pay for all of the sets.

I'll keep you guys updated, but the process of obtaining samples may impose some delays.

Although I missed this GB, I feel like delays are usually okay for the most part, as long as the runner is transparent. Which doesn't seem like it'll be a problem here  :thumb:

Yea dude, I'd rather wait a few extra weeks\months than get something that's ****ed up. Take your time and don't let a few loud people get to you. Thanks again for doing this.

no delays > good delays > bad delays

i'd call color samples a good delay
QFR | MJ2 TKL | "Schumiboard" | "Bulgogiboard" (Keycon 104) | MIRA SE "2Y10M" | TGR Alice "Pink + White" | MEME "Sound Meme" | Keycult No 1 "The Brass Behemoth" | Southpaw Fullsize (when it ships) | Daily driver: TGR Alice

Words to live by when it comes to GBs. Too often you see people go for no delays regardless of standard quality control and lately you're starting to see the outcome.

I don't know when it happened, but the final layout render shows the 1U Fn key in R3 instead of R4.  Is it too late to correct that?

Where are you seeing that? This render doesn't show that and neither does the mold file on the previous page.

Sorry -- I said the exact opposite of what I meant.  That render shows the 1U Fn key in R4 (the row with the shift keys and zxcvbnm), instead of in the bottom row (with the spacebar), which is R3 in Maxkeys.  I believe earlier renders showed that 1U Fn in R3, which would make sense for 65% layouts looking to use it along with 1U Ctrl and Alt in the bottom row.  I think the intent was to have 1U Fn, Ctrl, and Alt all available for the bottom row.

Many people need it in row 4 though since itís quite popular to use a split right shift/fn combo on 60% boards. The layout you want to use it for is certainly valid but switching it from row 4 to 3 would upset the many people that use it in row 4.

We're getting samples, and I'm going to make sure they're correct before proceeding with the second payment.

2 weeks!

Expect mediocre comparison photos then, and you'll get good comparison photos in around a week or two after that (i'll have access to a studio then).

Unfortunately, we have to wait a bit longer. Soon^tm, i guess.

Honestly, i'm really sorry for the delay, but it's completely out of my control.

Also, i don't know if i mentioned this, but i'm going to be going there to make the final payment myself. I think i only said this in the r/mm update.

anyway, that's it for now. hold tight, guys.

Pretty much as soon as I get the samples. I'm going to request that the other vendors transfer the sums, and then head on over and complete the final transaction in person.
