I'm in for the USB cable as well. I'd prefer to also get the original cable if possible (and not too much hassle) and get everything shipped together as that is probably the cheapest option to Europe. Also, if there are no white ones left when I am in line, I'm also happy with a blue one.

Due to having to leave town for the week ASAP will Invoice and ship at the beginning of next week.

Devices with USB cables will probably be in early Dec depending on the time it takes for them to be made.

With the weather and me being asthmatic the ps2 cables may take some time. We have only made it through 1 storage space so far nd there are 4 more to go. I was really hopeful when we found a box of IBM PS/2 mice but the cables were not in that box.

My blue label ssk has 1-piece keycaps.  Not sure if all the blue labels you have are all two-piece key caps, but I would like the following:

• two-piece keycap ssk (blue or white)
• ps2 cable (with large ferrite in ps2 side if possible or metal crimping on the sdl side if possible)
• orihalcon's usb cable (in addition to the ps2)
• shipping via my UPS account (to save some dough)

oh, and no rush on timing--just wait until you have it all together and then you can ship it out--well into the new year if need be.  :cool:

That is an amazing picture of ssk's, the likes the world has probably never seen before.  :thumb:  I can only imagine how enjoyable it was setting up those keyboards for the photo--unreal!  :D  (I also spied a box of Novell NetWare in the background--super stuff!)

Just managed to catch up on this thread. Man, this is crazy; in a good way. The discount on the orihalcon cable made this all better. I just purchased one and cost me around $50 to get it shipped in Asia. So I suggest that people should jump to it now.

Props to you bmmcwhirt on all of this. Also mine is now bolt mod, scary to do it since it was my first attempt but once you've done it you'll see that its not that difficult at all.

PS2 cables being found is still a huge guess on the ETA. If the weather is unreasonable when I get back to Indiana we'll revisit those of you only wanting PS2 cables to see what we can work out.

I was thinking on this and forgot to reply.  I don't want to turn this into a gull on group buy but unless someone complains or we get several others wanting JUST a cable I will allow this. If it turns out there are several other people in your situation, I will have to consider if I want to allow it or separate it out into it's own group buy in the appropriate forum. So for now I will allow it but just remember it's contingent on the above.

Yes you are just lower in the list but as of right now I still have enough boards to cover everyone.  Just let me know if you want no cable, ps2 cable, or usb cable. The PS2 cables are in limbo right now. I'm trying to find the box they are in or another solution. All 3 parts of the bumper and the driver side headlight all had to be replaced. Surprisingly it was only about 1600 in damages. Had it been anything other than a truck damages would have been way worse and we may have not escaped uninjured. There were 6(that we saw) deer crossing the interstate 3 large doe and 3 smaller deer, we ended up only hitting one. They did have to wash the truck and the Uhall as it did deficate all down the side. I can sympathise with that as I'm sure I would have too. It did scamper off but doubtful that it lived.

Yeesh. I've had three deer collisions, with the full range of severities for the deer. Thankfully I had a bull bar for the worst one, and the most damage ever done to the car was when one of them busted my side-view mirror off with its head. 65 bucks on ebay later and all was hunky-dory but yeah, those pea-brained creatures are a real treat to live with.

However since they mostly came out of a school some time around 1998, some brilliant person thought writing 'SPACE BAR' and 'I' on some of them in permeant marker. I have simple green and alcohol which I know are good solutions for removing such blasphemy, but does anyone have any better suggestions before I do?

I ended up using a can Goof Off to get it off mine.

Hate to hear about the deer and the damage, but am really glad everyone's alright.  I had a coyote once do $4k in damage to one of my cars when he ran into the side of me.    Makes you wonder what's chasing them that running onto a highway of speeding metal seems like a better way to go.

I'll add this to the OP as well:  If you are outside the USA, several people have found remailers that are far cheaper than what I'm able to ship for. It's running about $80USD to ship to Canada and $90+ to ship to other countries. The remailers run about 20-40 and that is a huge savings. If those of you that have used one or looked into it could chime in to help the others I would greatly appreciate it. My goal here was to get as many of thee into the hands of fellow clackers as affordably as possible and that shipping is killing the dreams of some and it's pissing me off.

I looked in to DHL but they want me to have a corporate account in order to even get a quote so if anyone has other thoughts please let us know.

With new people keep coming in who registered before the og thread, I am afraid all recent registered like myself would never get the board at all...Was 13 on the list, now got bumped all the way to 34. I am quite sure there would be no white for me, may be no cable, nothing probably. Just sad to think about...
