Another geekhack member has been quietly watching it; it was discussed in PMs with me. Chances are now that it's been mentioned that member is screwed though.

This is the second time it's been listed, the first time they listed, then pulled the auction.  I emailed them and no reply.  Then about 6 weeks later it shows up again.  Missing F2 key is a bummer.

same situation. I've emailed a number of times, sometimes he would get back and say he'd be happy to sell/relist, sometimes he just wouldn't get back to me.

I'm really curious about the keyboard, but this guy seems sketchy.

I like colored keys, and I'm sure all of those codes served a purpose, but I think the board is kinda ugly.....

Given that it has fast forward/rewind keys, it's probably a video keyboard alright.

Actually I'm not into random POS keys ;) I don't see the romance in keyboards from travel agencies and such, where people are happy to leave their keyboards and mundane jobs and head home each day.

ha, I'm all about a custom Model M keys, so long as they are original. I think the different implementations are one of the things that makes the M so great.

This puzzles me:

According to the map it takes longer to ship to California than it takes to ship to Alaska, and the item location is in California!

Quote from: eBay.com
Item location:
Glendale, California, United States

Bizarre.  One would assume from the map that the item was located in Ohio or northern Kentucky.

Don't know.

The V is quite erotic in my opinion however.

The S kinda reminds of an old (stupid and slightly offensive) joke-  "The word of the day is 'legs'.  Spread it around"...

Not me. I was considering it but decided against it.

I'd be interested to see what those keys look like once they are cleaned up though.

Not me - I had a lowball bid just in case ready to go in my sniping software though.  The keys are going to be pad printed and the missing Mach2 key bugged me.

It's like a guitar amp that goes to 11 but missing the 2.

So you think the quality of the keys won't be so great? I'm not that familiar with custom Model M caps, at least not original ones. I couldn't tell how the lettering was done on these from the images.
