Hi everyone, I've been hit by the retro wave as I'm a Linux user, yet a poor Computer Science student at the same time. Bought a Chicony/IBM KB-6323 and a BTC 5339R-0, both together for about ~16 euros.

BTC:
I've managed to clean the IBM, yet I like the BTC's layout more. However, the way the BTC is constructed gives me a few headaches:
-The obvious cleanup.
-It is AT, not PS/2, and I'm somewhat forced to buy an adaptor(which is pretty rare nowadays)/ change the cable.
-It has some pretty complex internals...since it is a foam foil keyboard. Haven't opened it yet, but I expect it to be in a pretty bad shape after some quick typing tests I did.
-It needs retrobrighting (thankfully, the IBM doesn't seem to need one at all).
-The text is going away.

I am wondering whether I could change the internal mechanism of the BTC, yet keeping the layout. :\
The IBM is in nearly perfect shape, except the Scroll Lock key needing a small fix.
Any suggestions on how to fix the BTC?
