IBM anpos keyboard (strange)
« on: Mon, 19 April 2010, 01:21:13 »
Can anyone tell me what this is:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/IBM-ANPOS-WIRED-KEYBOARD-STORM-GRAY-USB-86H1075_W0QQitemZ400110325862QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPCA_Mice_Trackballs?hash=item5d286f1066

I don't see an IBM logo on it either.

What's that weird thing in the top right corner, and I'm guessing it's a rubber dome?
Keyboards: '86 M, M5-2, M13, SSK, F AT, F XT

Fingerprint Scanner I suspect, and it is likely to be a rubber dome.

I'd say that it's a keylock for POS purposes. It could be some variant of IBM Model M7

Yeah, top right is a lock.

I refuse to call it a keylock, though. Keylock is the keyboard lock seen on older computers. Old terminology dies hard.
