Any thoughts on which of the two prototypes turned out better/you prefer? I can't really tell from the photos. Also, any chance we'll be able to get some samples of the anodization colours?

From the picture it kinda looks like the weight from the first proto looks better. But the second prototype doesn't seem like has good lighting, so I will have to wait to have them in my hands to check which one looks better. But the shop that did the first prototype also does anodizing and currently getting mine anodized red wine. Here is a picture of the colors they offer.

Red wine will be a very dark red, kinda like a burgundy. It should be done anodized this week so I'll post some updates on the thread later this week.

I will actually be going with that color for the purple one. Once I get the pictures of the anodizing for the proto. I will start asking for closer pictures of the colors I want.

Actually I just got an update and the anodizing is finished and the prototype should arrive this weekend. Here are the pictures of the Aquaria red wine.

Yes, this color will be offered in the GB. And I plan to run it for around 2 and a half weeks.

The color from the bottom. I was told it was the same color just different lighting, but once they were inspecting it for shipping they noticed it was different so it will be getting re anodized.

Have there been any more specifics given about the whole "buy an acrylic plate, be entered to win a free Acquaria" thing? Like is just a sort of someone might potentially win sort of raffle? or will there be a guaranteed winner picked from those who buy an acrylic plate?

So after receiving the prototype there was some issues and I am currently getting some new files to fix those issues and I also want to order another prototype. I would like to have a proper one before starting GB so at this point, most likely the GB will start around late October.

Would love to have a plate with split space option (2.25,1.25,2.75). Or cab you share the file, so people could cut one themselves?

A little update. I won't be able to get brass plates. But another option that I can get are steel plates, if anyone is interested in steel plates let me know since so far aluminum is an option. Steel plates will a $5 upgrade from aluminum. Current colors for the aquaria are red wine, blue, grey, and purple which is currently being anodized and will provide pictures later.

I take it the second picture there is the grey? It looks rather light, almost more like silver imo. Don't know about anyone else, but I'd personally prefer a darker grey

i agree with a darker gray if you chose to say gray and not silver its a tad misleading, but i do say im interested in purple and that blue looks great, plus id take a steel plate just to try it.

Colors are still subject to change so I will look into a darker grey.

I personally wish the top bezel was much thinner. Reminds me of the Rama M-60A which I skipped because of the top bezel.

26--whew, that's scarce. Any information on how the GB will be handled? Will it be FCFS or some other means?

The GB will be all handled by me, the shop has already made all of the boards and is just waiting on me to decide what colors to get them anodized. I should be able to get them all shipped out very quickly.
