Help in fixing broken Model M
« on: Wed, 22 August 2018, 05:14:50 »
So I decided to order a 93 Model M from ebay that was advertised as working and in good condition. I got the keyboard yesterday only to find out the guy I bought it from sent me a broken keyboard. I contacted him and he immediately sent me my money back and didn't want the keyboard returned. So I got a broken Model M for free.

Main issue with it is the space bar has a loose spring, the spring isn't actually attached to the little peg on the hammer mechanism. Even if I place the spring on the peg, it doesn't buckle. Both the space bar switch and the right alt key have this issue (the right alt key barrel doesn't even have a spring included). No matter how I insert the spring into the barrel it won't buckle.

Any ideas how to fix it? Should I stick the spring down on the peg with glue?

"We are on the precipice of signing an agreement to advance talks with Iran that preserves the good parts of former President Barack Obama’s Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) while amplifying its flaws.
Mr. Obama came to an agreement that did not involve America’s most precious treasure, the lives and limbs of our soldiers.  The 1.7 billion dollars of frozen Iranian assets released by Obama pales in comparison to the 300 billion being floated as a rebuilding fund.
So far, speculation that Iran will be free in the future to continue its nuclear program is the opposite of Trump’s stated goal for the war and in direct opposition to what Mr. Obama negotiated.
