Northgate 101
« on: Mon, 26 November 2018, 08:20:39 »
This is a beauty that won't last long:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/192735478432?ul_noapp=true
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

Sending a keyboard in a priority mail box for things shaped like keyboards is around $19. I'd expect 2 day FedEx for $25. A perfectly packaged keyboard is a bit awkward in size...much like a poster or art in a tube.

I'm going to hold off on this one just b/c I have several white alps boards now.  Also, I see a few on r/mm for around $80 shipped.  But it's pretty :)

Really? 101s? Those are the only true US ANSI layouts and are much harder to find without yellowed keys.

Here’s one. This guy says he has a lot of them and plans to slowly sell them off

Nope, it didn't. Definitely underpriced.

I love eBay's "We found something similar" feature:

Right—like those keebs are anything alike, huh?

Yes, this one would cost that much. Omnikeys are particularly prized for their weight and stability—they're the "tanks" of Alpses.

Of course if this seller knew about USPS's flat-rate Priority Mail "Game Board" boxes, he could send it anywhere in the US for around $18. It's mostly a keeb-geek thing, though.
