I don't know much about so-called artisan keys, but I saw these and thought somebody might like to know:

Those are the regular Evil Box pics, those are the pics that are on Aliexpress as well. There is pretty much a 0% chance that he has all those artisans/novelties and that he's selling them all for $30, ALONG with the Evil Box case. If that's what the seller said he's trying to scam you. Or misunderstood.

It seems legit to me. This item is $18 on Aliexpress, and the seller's in China—so if they can buy it there for $18 or less and mail it to you for a few bucks, they're in business.

That said, if you feel okay about ordering from AE, go right ahead. Some people just prefer to order through eBay, because if anything's not right, you can contact them right away and you have full buyer protection.

There is pretty much a 0% chance that he has all those artisans/novelties and that he's selling them all for $30, ALONG with the Evil Box case. If that's what the seller said he's trying to scam you. Or misunderstood...

I didn't want to post about this without being sure what it was. Here's the exchange I had with the seller:

Seller > This is the keycaps too.

That seems pretty specific.

This seller has 23 sales in the last 12 months with only one negative comment. (There's always the odd buyer who's impossible to please, or who didn't read the description carefully.) Nonetheless, if the item isn't exactly as shown in the photo, you can your money back and the seller has to pay the return shipping.

So no, I don't think this seller's trying to pull anything over on anyone—but thanks for the paranoia!

Dunno. I didn't want to post about this without verifying what it was, so here's the exchange I had with the seller:

Me > Is this for just the box, or the keycaps too...?

Seller > This is the keycaps too.

That seems pretty specific.

This seller has 23 sales in the last 12 months with only one negative comment. (There's always the odd buyer who's impossible to please, or who didn't read the description carefully.) So it seems unlikely they're trying to cheat anyone.

If it turns out it doesn't have exactly the same keys, they could be some you like more than those in the photos. (I can't help it—I'm an optimist.)

That said, if the item isn't as shown, and you're not happy with it, eBay will refund your money with no questions and the seller must pay return shipping. So there's no real risk.

BTW, when you embed a link here, you can delete everything after the ? (question mark) in the URL. That's just a bunch of stuff they used to track you; it doesn't apply to anyone else.

Yeah there is absolutely no way you are getting anything other than just the box for $30. Not saying the box is worth it for $30 but those keys are worth a lot more.

Yeah...I won't believe he has all of those caps for sale at that price until I see an actual picture. This can be literally anything, the seller doesn't show the buyer any real life photos of what is included. As someone who collects artisans seeing this listing, I call bull****.

Indeed, that's why I thought it was such a good deal, I should post it here.

The seller hasn't answered me since I asked him about using the Aliexpress photos. So all considered, I tend to agree with you—that's something not right about the offer.

I'm going back to my OP to edit it. I've also reported the listing to eBay as possibly fraudulent, so they'll investigate it.

If it weren't for you, I never would've known about the photos, so thanks for pointing that out!
