Squeaky left shift key on a Filco Majestouch kb.

Hi guys,

I just wanted to ask is there's a solution to this: I bought a new Filco blue cherries (104 keys) two weeks ago but I noticed yesterday that the left shift key was delivering poor performance, it isn't the mechanism (popped out the keycap and pressed on  the blue cross, I do think it's fine), but more like a squeaky or not fixed keycap, that moves when my pinky finger is on it, giving a displeasing sound. I also noticed that when I pushed it through the end, then let it move back to its normal position (like the click-CLACK on a Model M), it just fails to do the end CLACK, if anyone understands what I'm trying to say.

Anyway, is there any solution to this?

Try swapping the shift key caps to see if it really is a specific key cap (you could use any key cap really, as long as it fits)...

See the "All About Keys" wiki, and grease the key supports

Yeah, you need IBM grease! It's so greasy that IBM won't tell you the magic ingredient. And they used it in Model Ms that it was so greasy.
