The hunt for the G80-1800 and its vintage blacks.
« on: Fri, 25 January 2019, 03:28:00 »
Hey all !

So I haven't touched my MX Blue board since I received my FC980C and Realforce last year. Once in a while I will come to press one of the high pitched blue switch and then run to hide in the closet for an hour before coming out.

Nevertheless, there might be a path to redemption for me through some MX Vintage Blacks which seems, from what I've seen, red and heard, like smooth butter to type on.

Since I dearly love the layout of my FC980C, the next logical step is to find a G80-1800 with an old date code and vintage blacks on it. Hence my question to this wise counsel is the folllowing: what is the best way to go about finding such a board? Do they come up often or are they rare ?

Is there any advise that G80-1800 owners have for a newcomer?

Many thanks !

I think someone has what you're looking for up in the Classifieds section:

If you know you like the layout already then I suspect you may enjoy it.
