You have to remember that like 10% of people probably aren't going to pay their invoice, so you can't just have a margin of one or two orders to meet a price cut

Chances are, if you're ordering even a full 104 key set, it wont fit in a small rate. If someone has some SA keycaps and a small rate box on hand, and can confirm this, I would appreciate it.

All of these apply to CONUS shipping, and that's what I'll be invoicing tonight.
1 base + 1 mod = $6 shipping (I think that'll fit small flat rate)
1 base + 1 ergo = $6

5 base + 5 mods (or more) = $14 shipping (medium flat rate)

anything in between that will be $10 shipping. I have to purchase the packaging and ship, and it should come out to around $10.

Additionally, I have decided to get TEN sets for charitable causes. 3 standard keyboard sets (one of everything but Ergodox) and 7 Ergodox sets (alphas/gamer kits and ergos). This will help us reach TWO new price points, Mods and Ergos. These costs will be split amongst the entire group buy, and will come out to $4.95 per person. All of these sets will be auctioned or sold with proceeds going to cover anything I lose out on shipping costs, with 100% of the rest being donated to GH.

Just to make this clear, by my doing this charity thing, and us getting the new tiers from it, most of you aren't paying an extra 5 dollars. Those of you with an Ergodox order are SAVING 2 dollars from my doing this charity. Those of you getting an ISO are SAVING 4 dollars. The charity is saving a third of this GB more money than it's costing them, and the rest of us can just suck it up. It's for a good cause.

You should take a break now.  Before everyone starts sending in the money then you'll get all the extra pressure as everyone expects their key-set to be delivered perfectly.  Remember in the beginning everyone is cordial to one another but towards the end - it might resemble a blood bath if anything goes wrong.

Just make sure everything is accounted for and that you have a 'possible' PLAN-B worked out if anything goes horribly wrong.  Group Buys are seldom without problems or delays but please make sure that everything has been worked out before hand.

Okay! An OEM TKL set weigh about 3.9 oz (according to my postal scale)

5 OEM keys weigh .2 oz
5 SA profile keys weigh .35 oz.

So!
An SA profile TKL set should weight about 6.825 oz.

A 104 set (with all the extra goodies that come with these various kits like Tsangan, ISO and gamer packs) should weight about the same as two TKL sets. So, shipping weight, with packaging, should be RIGHT AROUND 1 LB for the vast majority of these orders.

So, international shipping is going to be about $16, plus packaging costs. I gotta order some small boxes for this, tape, labels, insulation. So we'll say $20 for 1 set of keys. 2 sets will put us about $28. I'll figure out pricing for them large orders last.

If someone can still weight a 104 set, plus like 30 extra keys, and let me know how accurate my estimations are. I would appreciate it.
