Keycaps are a tad bit tight on my clear's

Isn't this more to do with the clear switch than keycaps themselves?  I've heard of this complaint with other keycap types as well.

Yeah, Clears will have a very tight fit with most keycaps, in my experience.  Thick PBT has been the easiest to remove, but everything else locks on tightly.

Here are some better quality pictures of all of the sets:

Whoah, how did you get "normal" spacebars! All mine have the crazy alps stab inserts.

I suspect he just picked up the 6.25x space bars directly from Elton.

So it turns out that typing on anything other than thick pbt is too much of a departure from my comfort zone.

This means that I have 5 sets (one of each color) that are available for purchase.  My sets also include the 6.25 spacebar.  Check for details in the link in my signature.  I am selling these for less than I paid for them (assuming you buy them all).

Edit:
My preference is to sell all the sets together.  I will give someone till Wednesday (Dec 4th) to buy all of the sets together, after which I will start selling the sets individually.  I already have interest in the Blue and Red sets.

I agree that for the price, you can't get better keycaps than this...

Does this set include two space bars as in the photo? Are they one for winkeyless and the other for winkey?

My photos include both the full set (this GB) as well as the 6.25 spacebar GB.  So yes my sets include 2 different spacebars.

More chance to DIY, but that's my answer to everything.

The original idea was to cut a bit out of the middle and glue the ends together to make a 6.25x space bar.

Anyone tried that yet?

Probably a waste of time now as we have 6.25x space bars.

Maybe not, because the longer spacebars are better quality (cross bracing).  Worth trying.

I finally checked out my red and green sets today to setup a christmas scheme at work and found out I have an extra backslash and no minus on my red set's numpad. Is it possible to get a replacement? Not a big deal if it isn't since I'm not using any tenkey boards at the moment.

I shipped them on November 7th actually. I printed the labels around the 4th and some were printed much earlier.

International mail is so random.  I've had 2 packages make it to Europe ridiculously fast so far: one got to its Germany address in 6 days after I dropped it off at my post office, and the other got delivered in the UK in 7 days.  And then I've also had a package that went to Brazil, spent over a month in transit, and it got returned back to me after over 2 months (I had to re-send it, and I still don't know if it's going to make it!)

Yea it's been almost 5 weeks so far so I recon it shouldn't take any longer than 1-2 weeks more. Just can't wait! I'm quite happy with PBT blanks on my main working keyboard but I'd like to try those. I also want to try them on my ErgoDox prototypes :)

That would be a waste. They won't appreciate these spacebars.

More chance to DIY, but that's my answer to everything.
Unfortunately, I'm not a DIY kind of guy. :(

Also, do you guys know where can I get matching spacebars?

I have never been drawn to white keycaps but considering the price + the overall quality I' would be so in for a set of each!!!!

Me thinks if the sets are all white, then maeby we should have the legends in same color as the 5 sets we received, that way we can mix and match the colored sets with the new white sets with the matching color legends and have retro style look to it.

Not crazy about white but I'll be in for 1 of each if the legend colors match out current color GB keycaps ( black, red, green, yellow, blue)

As these are advertised in the Tai Hao GB thread, are these also from Tai Hao?

What is the profile (they look more like Cherry or SP than OEM)?

And, of course, price?

But yes, in general, interested!

They are Tai Hao's key caps, so OEM.

I'm still negotiating the price, but they have increased it due to various reasons.

If I do this, it will be 104 key cap set with 6.25x space bar.

Looks good.  I particularly like the cyan combo.

HOLY **** YES FOR THE LIGHT BLUE

YEP.  I would buy the light blue no questions asked, and probably a few others too.

Me too and I am saying this before I have even received the first batch.

I love the idea to create my own Tai Hao CCnG, Red Alert, Raindrop sets with these reverse color schemes :)

They are Tai Hao's key caps, so OEM.

I'm still negotiating the price, but they have increased it due to various reasons.

If I do this, it will be 104 key cap set with 6.25x space bar.

Thanks!

Damnit!  I'm going to end up with more keycaps than I know what to do with.

Oh, wait, I already have

A few more sets won't make any difference then :))
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Very nice. I'd be happy to get any of those bar the lime green. It might just be my monitor/eyes but I can barely see that on the white.

Would there be any chance of Tai Hao developing an ISO enter btw? I understand that the cost would probably be quite large, as with the 6.25 space bars but quite a lot of the participants in this GB were EU/ISO users so there could be a market?

TH is supporting the suggestion of coloured modifiers with white alpha key caps, but it's kind of redundant now if people want the inverse colours of their original colours.

They also have made the tooling for the window and menu key caps to be double injected (1.25x).

I'm not sure about ISO enter key since you'd need a short left shift as well and some other 1x keys to be included to have a fully supported ISO layout.

True, I plan to just use one of the 1.25x's from the bottom row (same size/profile) and keep the windows keys I already have and then just make up for the extra 1x's with a numpad key and one of the 1x blanks included for the bottom row. I think the only difficulty in implementing it really would be making the mould for the ISO enter as all the other keys already exist and given the wide variety of ISO layouts, blanks would make more sense for the 1x's.

If you really run a Round 2 could you get those keys made to replace the blank ones from Round 1? Would make these sets perfect (for their cost).

If Tai Hao's next step is Cherry profile thick ABS keys there is nothing to improve ;)
