Rockler's offerings are cheaper than what I found on-line for pre-cut stuff, considering I'd have to pay for shipping.  I haven't found anything cheaper locally yet :(  It's not too bad, considering lots of pieces are pre-cut to the exact dimensions I needed--just had to do a bunch of sanding.  There might be something though--lots of businesses in the area.

Edit:  Forgot to add this photo.  Rainbow army I spent much of today casting.  Still not done with all the different permutations, but part of my mold broke, so I had to cast another.  I'm making two molds, so I should go much faster when I start again.

Yeah, take a look for some places around you.  There definitely have to be some with a decent stock of domestic and exotic hardwoods.  I just know that I pay 50%-100% more for wood at Rockler than my other local supplier.  Rockler is great for some things, but man can they be expensive.

They probably are what you suspect they are, but shhh, don't say what it is. I deliberately went full potato on the picture.  I'm still working out some kinks and really need a vacuum chamber for the silicone and pressure pot for the resin to get rid of some of the small bubbles that pop up in some of the pours.

Kelly green seems to be a fairly decent spectrum of greens, but if you point out which one you meant, it's yours.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Put Ivan's Miami Odessa Remix LE on my Keycool today even though I am using the Déck right now. Sweet looking set, especially with the DDR keys.
In real life the contrast is not as hard as it seems here but I am always shooting pictures under bad light.

WOW! Those are sick nubs.

Thanks.  And you haven't seen non-potato yet.  They are fun, I just like projects and experimenting and trying new things.  Not to mention trying to figure out a bunch of colors when your dyes are blue, yellow, red, and black makes it even more fun.

I bet this one:

Probably, but some descriptions of kelly green are the same as the one next to it.   The one you circled is closer to what I'd call a forest green.  Of course, if you want me to get crazy, I could pull out my dad's Pantone books from when he was a printer/for current print jobs and tell you the Panton color of it.

Yup, Moz is correct.  My lips are sealed :-X.  I agree that the color is closer to forest green, but close enough for me seeing as I have multiple shades of green on it already.  Oh, and that is killer that you are making your colors from the base colors.  Excited to see more results.

Trying to put as much green on the board as I can.   :thumb:  Current setup has the green mods from Tai Hao.  Not quite perfect with the sp shift, but decent.

wut. i'd buy a ****ty IBM board for that green V2

If that is an unmodified dolch board then it is vintage blues which I find feel a bit better than the more modern blues that are being produced today.
