I've got some questions... been thinking of these for a bit now.
- Is there going to be a different PCB for each layout (i.e. a different layout for ANSI HHKB-style vs ANSI Poker-style)?
When people have ordered a PCB, is all that is necessary from that point for them to screw it into their desired case, and then put on keycaps?
One PCB for all layouts..that's the beauty of the gh60
depending on the type of pcb you get, the work load is different. the most common type ordered was the SMD pre-soldered, in which you just need to solder in switches and put in the stabilizers, and then put it in the case and put on the keycaps (etc., etc.)
- Is this something that a person with zero experience in putting keyboards together could make a successful project out of?
As long as you read up and get a good idea from all the information here then it shouldn't really be all too hard. do you have any soldering experience at all?
