I'm a bit confused- is the 10° angle built into the case? Or is there an included stand that raises it to that angle?

Thank you all for the support!

It's built into the case, I was considering a two piece design where the bottom wedge could be removed to adjust the angle but I decided to keep it once piece so there was no seam. I'll add some more renders later today to show this better.

At this stage the plan is laser cut 1.5mm acrylic.

First of all, very nice! Consider me interested.
How much space is in each unit? I guess it will fit SA profile artisans? How about slightly bigger/higher ones (Archetype's Kolkrabba comes to mind)?
Maybe it's possible to slant the lid, so that the upper rows have a bit more space. That'll fit the already angled case quite well I can imagine. Just a suggestion.

Each cutout is 20mmx20mm with a 2mm radius in each corner and can accommodate artisans up to 15.5mm tall, how much taller would it need to be to accommodate the Kolkrabba?

I will play around with the design a bit but I don't think a slanted lid will work, the side profile probably won't look right with 2 different angles.

The Kolkrabba for example is almost 2cm tall (about 19.8mm), while SA R1 caps are about 16-17mm in height.
So a bit more height-space would be appreciated!

As per the earlier suggestion, maximum keycap height has been increased to 18mm, this fits SA R1 with plenty of room to spare, updated renders have been added to show this. More renders with the lid will be coming soon.

When will the sales start?

Planning for around a month from now if the proto meets my expectations.

As per the earlier suggestion, maximum keycap height has been increased to 18mm, this fits SA R1 with plenty of room to spare, updated renders have been added to show this. More renders with the lid will be coming soon.
What's the square cell size?

Like AuthenticDanger said, 20mmx20mm squares with 2mm radiused corners, currently 5mm deep.

Finally, something I can put 40s kits in.

I'd be down for a thriftier case.

I need more slots than I need fancy metals , hehe.

I received the proto unit today and am very happy with the quality, the ano and colour are great and there are no machining marks so it looks like I will be continuing with this factory. I still have some final details to work out before I open the GB but expect it within the next few weeks.

In the meantime, enjoy some photos of the proto (full album)
