Just about three hours left, for anyone who might have been waiting until the last minute. :)

It looks like we're just one away from that last price tier on numpad, though hopefully DanielT's order will take us over on that one.

I tired adding the battle bridge set to my order but I can't checkout. My original order processed so I don't know what the issue is.

I only hope SP solves my problem, Numpad and Tsangan are in my Cart, but no way to checkout. Sent e-mails, posted on PMK forum, now I just hope that in the next 4 hours it's solved :D
Maybe I'm beeing punished for not selecting all the stuff from the very begining :(
@animal: it's a bloody bug in PMK that's what it is, go to the PMK site to the forum and post there, I have the same problem.

Can you guys describe the problem in greater detail? What do you mean by it prevents you from checking out? I'm emailing SP right now to see if there is anything we can do.

When I hit order with PayPal it just loops back to the page where I can click order with PayPal. Endlessly.

I've had that issue too and if it is the same one as mine, I don't know that it's an issue with SP, but with PayPal. My solution was to switch from using Safari, to Firefox and that did it for me.

I'm norwegian, and I've just changed to using ANSI.
If you're working with programming or unix the US layout is so much better, also you actually get to buy keycap sets.
It is pretty obvious that the people designing programming languages were using US layout:
Compare []{}@` on nordic and us...
For those few times I need nordic letters, I use the compose key

The problem is that only the main kit has shipping included, when you order some extras, like I did shipping is not included and we get the shipping address1 missing message. The original order went without any issues.
At this moment I really doubt it will be solved until the GB end. There is one way I think, if I get something from an other GB just for the shipping, but I don't want to go that way.

Okay the problem I've been having was related to the address field during checkout. It had my address saved correctly except for the state. It defaults to Alaska for some reason. Once I changed it to California I was directed to PayPal. Hope this helps others.

DanielT, I've got the same problem as you, and also when trying to check out a purchase consisting only of child buys. I was able to do that with the Macross and with Granite, so don't know why it isn't working now.

It seems that many people had trouble getting their orders in today due to technical problems. For anyone who had trouble, I recommend emailing sales@solutionsinplastic.com ASAP to see if they can manually add an order for you.

I think that is very unlikely. I think the Ergodox set in this round was ill-conceived (my fault). I think and hope someone will undertake an improved separate ergodox buy soon. I plan to make the source files available for anyone who wants to do so.

Tried but no response...looks like I'm SOL :-(

Update: Melissa responded to me today and got me added on due to my problems with checking out the day before the end of the sale. Thanks so much to Melissa and SP for making me a happy little GH'er. Now just have to wait for the Santa in the brown uniform to come.

@norbauer/SP: Considering that some people forgot about or missed this group buy, perhaps you guys could implement a 24-hour alert e-mail to people with registered accounts? That way people would be reminded about the end date and you may get more buy-ins than otherwise.

Please ask SP to do a test run like they did on Granite, it's the perfect way to spot any problems. Don't let it go into production without print proof photos, It's such a special set, and there were already all kind of issues with this GB from now on it must go smooth ;)

@norbauer: Today, I took some time and read the IC thread, the amount of work put into this project is amazing. Also for the first time I uderstood from the techical poit of view what DS and what Dye Sub is. It was a pleasure from start to end to read the thread. This set will be special in so many ways, as far as I know is the first time custom Pantone is used, and the printing technique is also a first among GB's.
I'm happy Grendel posted on DT about this GB otherwise I would have missed a really cool key set :D

In case some of you missed the email, I just got this in my inbox:

Quote
Thank you all for another successful group buy! The Galaxy Class keycap set has tipped and is on its way to production. As you may know, Key Collective created this group buy with some specific requirements and as such there will be some time involved in manufacturing this set to make it just right. We are going to be using an outside source for sublimation paper - what this means is that we need to have the paper tested and approved before we send it out to printing. We hope to have this tested and on order by next week. We do have a lead time of 4 weeks from our sublimation paper supplier, so I don't anticipated being able to start printing any sets until the end of July. I know this seems like a long wait, but we want to make sure we get this right.
In the meantime we will be running the blank keycaps and staging them so we are ready to print once the paper is received in house. Please be aware that you won't receive any updates from me during this time. When we start production I will do my best to post some pictures of the progress.
When production is complete, orders will be shipped out via USPS - you will receive a tracking number from stamps.com when they do ship, so be sure to check your spam folders in August.
Thanks for your patience with this one - the wait will be worth it!

Thanks so much for saying this; it is greatly appreciated, truly.

I do think most people don't quite appreciate how much work goes into one of these things. I certainly didn't beforehand; otherwise I probably wouldn't have gotten myself into the long-running, complicated mess in the first place. ;) All the same, I'm glad I did, and I'm really looking forward to this set.

Incidentally, having PMK on board really made things easier than they could have been if we had to handle all the ordering and fulfillment logistics in addition to the subtleties and complexities of the manufacturing and design stuff. To be sure, their site should be considered in an "early alpha" stage and is extremely buggy (in a way that grievously hinders sales), but the premise is wonderful and I hope they'll persist with it.

I'm super psyched I got in on this group buy.  Number one I love Star Trek.  Number two it's DSA profile, something I don't have.  Number three the more I read about the manufacturing process, the effort and the attention to detail that are going in to this set it sounds like it's going to be something special for sure.

I recommend watching episodes of TNG.

For my part, I am at the Star Trek convention in Boston this weekend. Sadly, nothing on sale is as cool as an LCARS keyset.  ;)

Would have been so cool if we could have our own kiosk, then LCARS would have been so popular.

That would have been something :D
I can't wait to see how this set will look, August seems so far, my set will reach me start of September, Romanian customs take up to 3 weeks to process a package. I guess they wonder why somebody would pay 100-200$ for coloured pieces of plastic, and keep on looking at the package for up to 3 weeks until they are sick of it :D

Nothing new as far as I know, Melissa was saying that it will take 4 weeks for the special paper and the shipping should start somewhere in August.
I the mean time I'm watching TNG again :) and prepare a custom board for this set.
