Who runs this site these days? How is a vendor allowed to keep his private area on the forum when he hasn't even logged in, in 6+ months?

I will happily explain.

What happens if we close his vendor subform/lock threads?  Should he return he can't access anything and cannot update his threads.
What happens if we limit his ability to post in his subform?  See above.
What happens if we ban him?  See above.

I get that this **** is frustrating, but the mod team is and has been very explicit how we handle these issues.  At this point, members gain nothing if we shut his account down.  Basically if we take any punitive action towards him at this point, there is really no reason for him to come back and fulfill his ongoing orders and group buys.  At this point the best to hope for is his return and faith that he upholds his morals to fulfill the gb.

I can tell you that he last post was made in China.  I think its pretty common knowledge that china has many restrictions on their internet, which could be the reason why his posting is limited, but not an excuse as to the status of the GB.

If the MOD team hears from him, or has any relevant information for GB participants, we will share that information to all.

He has his own damn forum setup by the mods so you are part of this whether you want to be or not. This isn't some rando group buy in the group buy subforum.

But let's say he does come through with this group buy in 3 months. Is he then OK to continue doing them in the future? We're about to hit TWO GOD DAMN YEARS with no one receiving their caps. And that isn't even the problem. It's the lack of communication. imsto hasn't even logged into to the site in 7 months. I'm sorry but no one should have their own forum if they can't even keep their customers up to date on what is going on. I know the mods aren't responsible for where people spend their money, but come on. I didn't even buy into this group buy. I was just hoping to snag some leftovers but that ain't happening.

Artisan Services / Re: KeyForge - FORGEMAS (Final Packages Shipping Now)
« Last post by Mr_BeastQuake on Wed, 17 January 2018, 00:43:07 »

For those of you that watched Tinyís ArTEAsan interview on her stream this past weekend, I will be moving to doing keycaps as a full-time job in the next couple of weeks. This will give me the ability to ship out these larger sales much quicker, since right now Iím juggling so many personal and career things at once on top of trying to create the best sale experiences that I can for you guys. Most of us are doing these sales/shipping in the evenings after work and in-between spending time with our families (or crying into pillows after masturbating if single) and shipping/fulfillment can get a little crazy. I appreciate everyone being so patient with shipping, and Iím doing my best to improve the wait period after youíve purchased keys in large sales.

In future sales, I will be changing the way that tracking is sent. As of right now, you are getting tracking the moment I print out your label, but soon, you will instead get tracking once your package hits the mail stream. That means once you get tracking, the package is already moving, so it wonít cause confusion and create worry that the package was lost or misplaced.

Good luck mang, it's always tough to make big changes.

Interesting change to shipping notifications, from experience I know it's awkward to be psyched on a shipping notification to then watch it for a week before shipping. This hobby has kind of made me numb to anything until I see something is en route but am always supportive of advances.

I'm hoping I can snag a spot.  I haven't built a kb before and love your work.  The price is okay, if the extra plates were a little cheaper it'd be easier to purchase more than one;)
Will you (or someone) outline how the raffle works?

Thanks for all of your work!

Thank you! Not sure the plates will be lower :(

The raffle will be quite simple: fill in the form as you would normally with a normal group buy, and when it's closed, I'll send a message to the winners & then invoice. Unpaid invoices will be reraffled.

Should be able to start the GB this Saturday the 20th, and have a 6 hour raffle between 2PM - 8PM EST. Pricing @ 20 would be $370 + $30 additional plates + $30 optional PCB (if there is interest).

Options available:

Case:
  • HHKB/WKL/60*
  • Black/Dark Gray/Silver
Plates:
  • Singular layout
  • Aluminum - Black/Dark Gray/Silver/Red
  • Stainless Steel - Horizontal Brushed*
  • Brass - Mirror Polish*
* Unconfirmed but likely.

Any thoughts? Planning on joining? Hate everything about it? LMK :))

I have been receiving some local offers on plate laser cutting for the current prototype:

1 plate: 90-200 euros for stainless steel, over that for aluminum.
20ish plates: 40-80 euros for stainless steel. Aluminum around the same.

Still waiting for more accurate offers from a few places.

A wooden prototype I could make happen at around 30-40 euros per plate, which is a hit I can easily take.

I also found a local laser cutting lab which allows cutting for just material costs but that one is limited to plastics only. Acrylic or ABS a bad choice? Also, this would mean more manual work for me.

Shipping from Finland with good packaging can cost 40 euros per shipment. Going to do checking on shipping services that make it easier to ship smaller packages.

you need to look elsewhere those prices are too high from my experience.

Keyboard Keycaps / Re: Bro Caps Therapy

Those who have received shipping notification do not seem to be in need of therapy.

I could make a thread named "Bro Caps Shipping Therapy"  :)
