Backstory

WoB Icon Kit ran initially in 2016, this is one kit a lot of people, including myself, have been waiting for to be ran again.
Extension/Compatibility kits are in right now, so why not give it a go?

GMK WoB is more or less readily available through multiple vendors, but the fully fledged WoB base kits all feature text+icon mods. As some have come to know about me, I live and die by icon mods - this is a must have for me, and I assume many of you as well! BoW has also been added due to the big amount of GMK Minimal (CR+WS1) lacking icon mods. It may also serve as accent keys.


The kit


It features support for most layouts, omitting the bottom row as the available WoB sets have modern compatibility already. Colors are CR and WS1.
Control is also omitted in icon form, as that would require a bottom row that uses icons to make sense, and Control R3 is featured in the aforementioned WoB kits.

GMK is doubleshot ABS. This kit is designed as an addon to an existing set (two in fact) rather than a full mod set, which is why it doesn't include bottom row or top row mods.

iirc the idea was that people could use the inverted mods as accents if they wanted to - and obviously having no accent esc would be a bit strange.

Well if you are in the EU, you can risk VAT and customs fees ordering from Kbdfans

You have a higher chance of your package getting lost on the way from Asia rather than buying from a EU vendor. It'll also take longer to your door. Not sure why you would do that to save a few euros on shipping but to each their own. Other than that you can buy from anywhere you want I guess.

And my experience with KBDFans is that they often undervalue packages, so in my case I'd probably be less likely to pay any fees. (I actually didn't consider that EU countries don't pay customs fees inside the EU, so I guess it makes less sense for others.)

To me it makes no difference, feel free to use any vendor that you are comfortable with! The reason proxies exist is to offer available options regardless of where you are, the opposite of limiting ones choice.

If customs is what you're worried about… KBDFans has undervalued all the packages they've sent me, haven't had to pay anything extra. Also haven't ever had any issues with them (I'm in Europe).

According to the GMK schedule we got, it should've shipped yesterday.
I do not have a confirmation of that, but I am hunting for a status update and will let you know ASAP.

As for extras, they usually hit after the vendors have cleared their log of shipments for the GB participants - should be the same this time.
