[WTB/WTTF] Calm Depths SA
« on: Sat, 24 August 2013, 11:16:36 »
Hey, guys.
So I'm Calm, or as many of you may recognize me, the designer for Calm Depths.

The deal is, I was coming up on the end of my time in the military when the Calm Depths original group buy was supposed to be delivered, and due to delays (and a faster ETS process than I anticipated) I ended up not able to manage the group buy myself. I had a lot of help from some prominent members in the community that took over sorting and delivery, and unfortunately due to the back and forth and all of the changes, I ended up not getting a set of Calm Depths. Anyways, that was in 2013, and now 7 years later I'm feeling nostalgic.

This community has been so great. I had such a good experience designing, and coordinating with you folks, but due to the bad experience from my messy separation from the Military being tied directly to my connection to this community, I sort of distanced myself. But coming back and seeing so much love and support for Calm Depths, and Veterans day this week triggering some nostalgia for me, I've decided to come back and see if anyone has a set they'd be willing to let go.

I have a couple things I could trade, arduino boards, a phantom v2 PCB, some dismantled cherry mx blue switches, and a couple WASDv1 boards all up for grabs. Or I could sort out cash too.

I'm primarily interested in SA profile, as that was the original GB. I'd LOVE to find a set actually from that group buy, but I'm not sure how feasible that is. I'm just feeling nostalgic and I'd love to get my hands on a full set

I don't know what the going rate is for a set, but pm me and we'll talk.

I love you guys, stay safe

Calmb

Moosie, your bracelet turned out amazing. I hope you put up pictures here when it comes in. Should be any day!

AKIMbO, the earrings aren't that large. My amazing photographer got absurd close up shots, making the earrings look pretty big, but they're on average about 1-1.5 inch from the drop, and are not heavy at all. Sterling Silver is a bit heavier, but I've never heard any complaints about the weight.

Looking good, Moose! I'm glad it's a good fit. It's always tough to find that perfect fit when you're half the world away from your customer.
It's a good, sturdy bracelet, don't be afraid to use it as daily wear. You shouldn't have any problems unless it gets abused, or an accident befalls it.

Plate mounted, but that means I'd need to find the wire for the space bar, right?

Looking for a newer QFR PCB (not the old single sided PCB, looking for one of the newer double sided bad boys.)

What you need is a Phantom PCB and build that awesome HHKB

Oh, I have a phantom PCB on hand right now. Just waiting for this plate buy to happen so I can build that awesome hhkb.

In the mean time, the fancied up QFR is practice, and an intended gift for my wife. I'm thinking I might give up on the upgrade PCB and just use the older one sided PCB instead.
