stats don't lie: What do you really do at work?
« on: Thu, 17 October 2013, 17:32:46 »
Hey guys!

I thought it would be fun to see how productive everyone actually is during "working hours". I have a feeling many of our employers would like to know how much of their time is spent on geekhack.

I'll start, but mine doesn't tell much since A) I'm relatively new to posting and B) Work from home, salaried and don't have a set schedule.... But I guarantee that the time I'm on here the most is when I'm "Working".

(Go to your profile and 'stats' to get the eye-opening answer and post it here!

Well. I think it's obvious...

Just today I had a coworker say to me, "Geekhack? See I knew you could hack ****!"

Then I told him it's a forum about keyboards...

Then I told him it's a forum about keyboards...

resulting in an awkward slide away? lol

and it looks like you're doing the bulk of your posting during your 10am break... totally justified

Wait, I get a 10am break? :))

I actually do most of my posting during work. And do not-so-much work.  Yet everyone is so happy with the work I do do so I guess it doesn't really matter...

Haha are you management at my company? I've had this conversation a million times with them before, I have tons of down-time while I'm waiting on system rebuild or things to download, re-install etc so I don't think anything of browsing the web on one of my spare screens. Management hate it but I put up the best numbers in my team so they can stick it haha
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

obviously I should probably get some professional help

lowest is 19 post @ 5am...which makes sense considering I'm usually showering at 5am which makes it difficult to post

but you don't shower for the whole hour, do you?
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

let me guess -- you don't have a breakfast before driving to work, but you have a lot of food for dinner?

Actually I eat a microwaved breakfast burrito everyday after I get to work, lunch varies based on whats available in the kitchen at work and dinner just depends on whats going on at home, normally I snack on stuff like peanuts during the day!

Holy **** Ray, nice necro.

Mine is all over the shop but only because I used to work shifts. I now have absolutely no time at work to even log in to Geekhack anymore :(

Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?
