The other plate building tool

If you're waiting patiently for swill to complete his plate building tool, you may want to check out a similar script that I wrote.
I hadn't seen swill's thread before I started. Mine is nowhere near as amazing as swill's will be when completed, but it works now and I'd appreciate if you let me know what you think.

I know it's not very user friendly but it can handle just about any possible layout you can throw at it.

Good to see more work in this space. Its amazing how similar and yet how different our implementations are. Looking forward to collaborating.  Feel free to poach ideas from my thread. There are lots of great people supporting me in there.

haha, awesome.  both are very good features to add.  kerf makes a big difference when working with different materials like stainless steel, aluminum or acrylic.  apparently you REALLY have to care about kerf if you are working with acrylic.

Always good to have an option, eh?

I've thoroughly enjoyed swill's progress in developing the tool and your's looks really interesting too. It is funny though how both of you thought about using ijprest's keyboard-layout-editor output and using python. Great minds think alike (Sorry for the cliche)
