Alright thanks. Would appreciate getting notified in time so we can put in a order for aluminum kit if brass moq is not reached.

Will the white aluminium version chip?

hard to gauge, but if it's MAO it's definitely not a durable finish

It's not MAO, it's more like a paint finish. ED is short for electrodeposition. Another name is e-coating.

ah, EPD

depends on what the coating is made of, if it's enameled/ceramic coating then yeah it can chip for sure, but if it's something stronger i think less likely

anodizing will always be the more durable option, followed closely by cerakote

of course, anodizing isn't always the most color-correct option and you can't ano white

but anyway

Hello, very much interested.
What firmware does it use ? Sorry if this is a naive question but it's my first time custom keyboard and would like to be able to map easily :)

Thanks!

DO60 uses QMK, but apparently OP is trying to make it simpler (GUI maybe?)

Yes, we've found a solution to compile/flash qmk with gui, but with limited function.
We're looking for modify it, so people are able to use qmk without command lines.

Depend on which PCB you use.
DO60 use qmk.

I love white, but can't help being worried about
- durability
- will it get dirty easy
esp. without having to touch this in person.

to buy or not is an easy choice, what color to buy is not!!

Interested in the brass case.
Can I use a standard 60% plate and PCB with the brass case?

White doesn't really get dirty easily, but durability might be a worry since its not anodized.

You can't use standard plates as this is top mounted. The upside is that the plate is included in the kit anyway and top mounted is said to be more stable than tray mount.

That full brass case looks amazing, and the layout looks great too. I'm trying not to buy anything else at the moment though, dang it. I guess I'll just enjoy the pictures. Good luck with the GB.
Maybe they're waiting for gasmasks and latex to get sexy again.

Ok.
I thought it could be a good case for a handwired bluetooth project. :(

What are the prerequisites for handwired build? Wouldn't it still work regardless of whether it's top or tray mounted?

I think we can make when >20.
Got around 70+ interesting.
But the order quantity is not enough now.
If moq is not able to reach by next week.

Didn't get it, current count is 70+  and the MOQ is >20?

IC count was 70+ I think he means.

Current count is not at MOQ of 20.

I doubt they had any real intention of making it in brass.
They never once even addressed the many inquires about a matching brass bottom.
Bait and switch....pretty shameful.

Not sure why they should bait you.
The fact they didn't wanted to give a matching brass bottom might be because they want it to be RGB without making a total new design for bottom, which is totally understandable.

I'm pretty sure that if they offered it, they want to make it if the MOQ allow it.  Would be a stupid and illogical bait, if they just showed the alu version, i would be already in for alu but since they showed the brass version too, i will be in only when the brass version will offer a different color of PVD.

Probably right. Guess people don't want that gold color on PVD on brass  :D

Back from new year vacation this week!

It is not enough for now depend on the quantity we discuss with manufacturer.
Now, I have to ask if they're willing to make less.
If they do, will the price makes us losing money.
If we're going to lose money, we have to cancel it since the MoQ issue :(

Hey sennin, can you reply to my message? Thanks.

Just asking, the moq of 20 from your manifacturer is for pvd in general or is for each color in PVD? (even tho i know this gb was offering only gold pvd since you said me this already).

e.g. if in the future you want to make PVD black, gold and purple for example, will the moq be 20 for black, 20 for gold and 20 for purple, or just 20 for any of these colors?

for each color.
although it can be processed with other products for PVD.
But it makes manufacturer feels annoying to make multi colors.
Few people willing to do that even pay higher unit price.

For example.
Getting watch order for $1 profits each, 10000 pcs.
Getting keyboard order for $100 profit each, 10 pcs.
Not body will make keyboard for busy factories.

The other issue is even I begging manufacturer to make it for me with 10 pcs each color.
And they accept.
There will have people ask how about pink, rose gold, purple ...balabalabala, become endless issue.
We've offered so many options, people keep asking if xxx is possible, how about ooo.
If the quantity is enough, okay.
But we don't have money to cover so many options that is far away from MoQ.

For the huge difference between interesting check and group buy result.
I think it is hard to run another round PVD group buy for this model.
I've asked PVD ver. quotation based on the quantity in the interesting check.
But finally get only 1/10 quantity of interesting check result.
I'll ask if manufacturer is willing to do this order.
If they can't, we can only cancel PVD orders.

Got it, i suggest to give it a chance for the next round, pretty sure people are not entering because it is GOLD pvd (which isn't appealing to many).  I heard plenty of people interested in PVD colored which looks awesome.  Pretty sure with a Black/titanium/other colors of pvd that was already with 40+ orders

Gold pvd is ok for plate and weight, but for the case looks a bit mehhhhh

Will this case able to fit DZ60 PCB? If not, will the DO60 PCB be able to create this layout: http://prntscr.com/imoyc5?

Also, will there be RGB LEDs pre-installed underneath the PCB? (Edit: seems to be so according to the website)

Will this case able to fit DZ60 PCB? If not, will the DO60 PCB be able to create this layout: http://prntscr.com/imoyc5?

Also, will there be RGB LEDs pre-installed underneath the PCB? (Edit: seems to be so according to the website)

You can chose universal port.
And our PCB support this layout.

Additionally, is your website undergoing changes? It doesn't seem to be working - I can add items to "My Cart" but when it comes to the shipping page, it just keep loading forever.
It should work, if not you can send us a screenshot.

Using another browser solves the problem! But the website seems to be lagging here and there still, hope you will solve the issue :)

Last day of GB! Wondering why this GB seems to be less popular than the rest

Has the MOQ been reached yet? If yes, there shouldn’t be a problem right? :)

And oh I wanted to ask, for brass weight at the bottom PC plate, will there be engravings? If yes, what would it be? Do you have a prototype to show? Would you offer the option to customize as well?

I think showing pictures of real life (latest) prototypes might help a lot with buyer's confidence if any :') And of course, reddit marketing would do wonders! :thumb:
