All these SS posts, I should have joined in on that but shipping in Australia is stupid.

Nothing in the mail but I did pick up two Logitech BBT18 Trackballs yesterday at a Goodwill for $2 each :)

Yes it is and from what I've heard it starts to shine very fast. Why would I want yet another such key on my keyboard? :/

I don't have experience with ABS, but I have not heard anything positive of it. It does make me wonder how some people manage to shine through ABS space within a month, it takes me years to shine through 10€ rubber dome keyboards...

Yes, escape is PBT. Only thing on hhkb that is ABS is the spacebar.

They're not that bad. I doubt anyone could get them to shine in a month, let alone a year, unless they're doing insane amounts of typing or never wash their hands.

I am continually confused (in a good way), about USPS. I had those packages in the mail Saturday and they showed up Monday? That's crazy. Glad ya'll are happy. Hopefully the others I sent out arrived just as fast :D.

That's pretty quick. I've had my Filco ABS caps for over 6 months now and no shine, really.

Take a closer look at the spot where your thumb hits the spacebar, you will probably notice some very light shine, or rather that the texture at that spot will be slightly less grainy.

You should definitely grab one. If you don't mind a lil' wearing out of the legends over time, this keyboard will make you happy. I typing experience is heavenly. Only other draw back other than the legends is the 1.25x mods on the bottom and smaller right shift. I, however, believe the feel overcomes those draw backs.

That's the whole reason why I sold my HHKB. Having dedicated arrow keys makes a huge difference for me. I only wish that they would release Cherry compatible plungers or a Topre set for the F660C.
