Hi all!

Welcome to the IC for PBT Maharaja.
This set is inspired by the Pink City of India, Jaipur--and in particular, the beautiful Hawa Mahal--and is a tribute to the opulence of the Rajput style of architecture.

Specifications

Manufacturer: TBD (see note below)
Profile: Cherry 1-1-2-3-4-4
Material: PBT
Technique: Reverse dye sublimation
Modifier Style: Traditional icon+text

Regarding the Manufacturer

I've requested samples from two manufacturers: KBM (KeyBee) and DCD (Drop). I will update this thread with pictures once the samples come in, and a decision will be made at that time. Currently, I'm expecting about a 1-2 month timeline for these.

Kits

Base

The base kit features support for 60% to TKL form factors and includes:

2u Shift
Terminal ISO support
Bottom row swaps for alternative operating systems
Full Alice support
4-key 40s support

Numpad and 1800 layout support can be found here.

Devanagari

The Devanagari kit offers a set of drop-in alpha replacements with Devanagari sublegends based on the InScript layout. A 2nd Tab has also been included to help cover another board in combination with the base kit.

Forties

The forties kit, in combination with the base kit, should provide support for most 40s/ortho layouts and includes accents.

Spacebars

The spacebar kit includes more niche spacebar sizes, as well as support for split-space layouts and accents for the most popular sizes.

Novelties

The novelties kit features ornamentation for your board based on architectural details of the Rajput style and includes:

Looks like a great IC. For the Devanagari Alphas are you going reverse dye sub because I’ve never seen this manu’s reverse dye sub sample

I like the colors here! The deskmat is fantastic too.

Some thoughts on kitting:
* If you're doing 4-key 40s in base, I'd do accent enter along with accent esc and put mod enter in the 40s kit
* in the 40s kit, I'd change the r3 1.25u control to 'meta' and add a r3 1u 'meta' as well
* be aware that most manufacturers do not have concave 1.5u spacebar molds. AFAIK only MilkyWay does right now. If your manu doesn't have that mold, I would not include those keys in the 40s kit.

They’re “catch all” keys for folks that don't use one of the defined legends on that row. Instead of adding a bunch of niche layout choices, meta is used as a generic key for them. This applies to both staggered and ortho boards.

While I'm excited at the possibility of DCX 40s molds, locking into the one vendor sucks for us outside of the US.

I really like this one, please don't do lock vendor. Also, white sublegends will be hard to see imo.

This is cool! Personally would rather see Devanagari subs in the base and with latin as the alt, feels more unique and fits the theme better, but interested either way.

Really looking nice!! Lovely colors!
Could you consider adding the sublegends in a different color? I fear visibility might be an issue with white subs.

Lovely kit. Suggestions: in the base kit, add Mac option keys. In the Devanagari kit, flip the legends.

Currently, this set is on hold. I am focused on delivering SA 8010 and ePBT Scandi in a satisfactory manner, as both sets have had some setbacks with certain keys needing to be remade. Thank you for your interest and patience.
