Greetings and salutations, my beautiful people!
« on: Tue, 03 March 2015, 01:52:36 »
Greetings from Hawaii ;)

My mechanicalkeyboard mesmerization molded from  /r/mechanicalkeyboard where I lurked for ~2 weeks before falling to temptation as brought out by those heavenly cross heirs click clacking away. It saddens me greatly that I was unfortunately drawn in by Razer's marketing and got a Razer Blackwidow Ult. 2014. However there is light at the end of the tunnel as I stumbled upon my now daily driver, the Feenix Autore. It's MSRP is outrageously ridiculous, but I was luckily able to get it hugely discounted. I wish to join this forum in efforts to satisfy my new addiction and hopefully be a contributing member for this community.

Hello there and welcome to Geekhack! That is a nice looking keyboard, which I haven't seen much of before. Got any future keyboard plans? I assume you play League too, we have a thread for that somewhere around here.  :)

good that you got it on the cheap, Feenix products are all overpriced with no special qualities. spend enough time here and i'm sure your keyboard taste will change, for better or worse :)

Welcome to Geekhack!

I too almost fell for Razor's marketing, but was saved in the nick of time by GH!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
