Looks good sir! Definitely need that extension kit for the icon-only ISO legends :thumb:

Thanks. :) Perhaps in 1-3 weeks time.

Thats awesome man! Ive always thought of getting the purple tex case, cool to see it!! Ive gone w the vortex pure limited twice now.

added 68g gold springs and 100g (spacebar and esc) for my blue switch KMAC
not sure how to show the photo but

It feels amazing! so crisp with the right stiffness

Man.. One day Ill have to get a KMAC, that is a beautiful PCB!

Finally I can add Dolch to my keyboard. <3 Now I just need to save up and get the extension kit from Orignative so I can replace the scratched up Enter key and the blank key next to "Z".

Thanks, Dustin! It's a Poker 2 indeed. :) Haha, go all out on a KMAC or something. ;) I personally think TKL's looks better, but I love the small form factor of 60% keyboards more.

This is my first keyboard mod. It is kind of an "addition" to a "keyboard". You could call it:

  • The final judgement,
  • The unforgiving X27,
  • Relief,
  • Past be gone,

or whatever comes to your mind after seeing the mod, watching someone execute it, or execute it yourself.

Basically, this mod includes two things:
  • a keyboard (preferably old and rubberdome),
  • Finnish steel (actually, any kind would do).

For the first "ingredient" I chose a generic Logitech rubberdome keyboard that was only collecting dust and using up space. A Fiskars X27 got picked for the steel part of the recipe.

Before I show you some pictures you should be advised, that they depict a scene that some people might find cruel or revolting. Others might cheer or cry of joy. In any way I am not liable for any harm!

"The setup"

"The execution"

There is lot of lose keys roaming the area after the impact

"The aftermath"

So, this is what is left. I might use the cable... it seems like it's still good...

Cheers,

Warning, horrible quality image.  I don't know how to work a camera.

Added keys from a Wyse terminal board and 25g modded most of the switches.  Kind of want to swap out the remaining black keys, but I guess for now they don't look too bad.

Orange and pink

Nice :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

There is lot of lose keys roaming the area after the impact

So, this is what is left. I might use the cable... it seems like it's still good...

Cheers,

Moar Orange! :D

Put my SkiData caps on a G81-1800 after putting it through a dishwasher. It's an awesome set and I would love to have it in ANSI.
I should probably look for an old ISO G80-1800 though and use the matching 1.5x mods and 7x spacebar. ;)

Especially the yellow
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Yup. I couldn't resist making the Star Trek reference, and I guess the name stuck. :D
