Did the PCB manufacturer give you any ETA on their production time?

The good news is, TJ is now sitting on less amount of money, as the PCB production is starting right now. I'll pass the information about the estimated lead time as soon as I get it.

So what is the color going to be?

I ordered white, because many people liked them after the prototypes were made. The silkscreen is black this time.
I know we can't please everyone, doing many colors is just too much hassle. I hope this is fine, at least for most people.

Thanks Spamray I completely read over that.

I guess it doesn't really matter since I'm using a plate anyways. I was more thinking about inexperienced builders who might run into issues and end up with yellow spots. I've never tried to solder on a white PCB before so I'm just going off what I've read regarding the white PCB's that MK was selling.

Exciting!  A couple of questions if you don't mind:

1) Are the plates being ordered now too?
plates will be taken care of soon

2) My order only contains 2 PCBs and a plate - once they're in will it be sent out?  Obviously I'd rather not wait for the stabs / switches etc to arrive if I'm not getting any of them.
I'll try to make up some sensible packing algorithm in case the various parts don't come all together. So probably you can assume yes;)

That'd be awesome - thanks chap :)

A very rough ETA on the boards is 4-5 weeks, but it depends on when the components arrive. Probably they'll update me with something more precise later. But basing on my (little) experience I would assume at least 5 weeks from now.

guys please remember that this does not include sorting, shipping, and acquiring the other parts.  furthermore if you ordered assembly services your wait will be even longer.  the pcbs are just one part of the puzzle/gh60.

Very excited to get these things in my hands! Great work guys.

If we got assembly service, any way to not have that done now and just have the stuff shipped (yes I know, no changing orders)? That or if any of it is happening in the central Florida area I would gladly lend my soldering/packing skills.

Slightly interested. What was the cost? And CONUS shipping, et al? Stared at Salmo's sale but I only really want one ...

FYI, in case anyone was wondering. The second part is not a maybe -- it's now a definite.

NO ORDER CHANGES

Also, I think we may be at the point where, if you sell your order, you just have to ship it yourself. Changing shipping addresses for 206 people ain't happening, folks.

The current ETA on the PCB and SMD assembly is "around March 28". Unfortunately they have to wait for atmega32u4 from their supplier.

Small update:

Remember this snarky reply?

I agree with Glod. There is no reason to wait for WFD to find time to do this. Waiting now, could turn this into a huge cluster fuk.. :(

Now at the same time, I think everyone one involved has done what they could to keep this rolling. I just see lots of other GBs going south and
people are starting to get gun shy about things going south... :/

Oh good, so will it be you or Glod who volunteers to take over the plate production??

Well, ApocalypseMaow somehow looked past my snide remark, stepped up his game, and volunteered to help with getting plates cut at a local laser cutter. He has received a quote back from at least one place, which falls within our budget for what we charged GB participants for the plates. So he will be having a sample made soon, and if all goes well, we could have plates in production in the near future. Now, this does hinge on getting a quality sample from the laser cutter, so nothing is set in stone (steel?) yet, but things are in motion already.

Plates, plates...  switch plates, I'm guessing?  This doesn't impact those of us who just ordered PCBs, switches, etc.?  I already have a couple of those stainless steel Poker plates from The_Beast's earlier GB, just waiting on the PCB so I can get started on a first Poker build.

the white pcb's will not be as prone to solder burn marks because they are a gloss finish and not a matte finish as the black pcb's were.
also I am not a professional at through hole soldering but I have soldered/desoldered my rev a prototype pcb about 4 times already and it has held up fine.
The white pcb's are more durable and should be much much easier to clean as well.

I suspect that selling stabs should be fairly easy to accomplish, especially considering that they're not commercially available anywhere (except 2x PCB mount).

Sorry if this is repetitive, but I can't seem to find the info anywhere. The thread is long, and I can't tell if there have been major updates that negate the info in older posts.
Is this GB still open for new orders? If I'd like to order a GH60, should I use the form in the OP? Another form? If not, will they be readily available somewhere else? I saw someone mention mechanicalkeyboards...

Orders are locked. They will show up on classifieds, and mk.com is rumored to begin carrying them.
