Where can I get some of the small silver Cherry stickers that I have seen some people put one their G80-3700's?

I just got a G80-3700HQAUS-0, and I would really like to get a few of them.

I ordered some of the ones that Feng sells, but they are a little too big.

I don't have any of the silver ones, but I've got a red one you can have if you want.

Where did you get it from if you don't mind me asking?

Got it from Shadovved a loooong time ago. After looking at your pic in the other thread, it actually looks like the same sticker, except red. No idea where the smaller one came from, sorry about that.

Does anyone know if these key caps are ABS or PBT (I'm guessing PBT since they're originally Leopold caps).  More importantly, are they Cherry or OEM profile?

I don't think EK lists any PBT MX keycaps.  My guess would be ABS.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Well I was hoping for PBT + Cherry profile, but I ended up just buying them regardless since I was already placing an order at EK.  For literally "three fiddy", who could say no.  I'll be sure to comment on their exact specs when they arrived.

SA comes in all row three. And you can check the OP to see all the keycap types that SP has.

Yes. I don't think there's been a GB where there's been SA all Row 3. Maybe that Honeywell buy that 7bit ran?

Don’t think so. Honeywell Round 5 was row specific (with different row profiles)

I have a question about these TEX alu cases for TKL Filcos:

http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_list&c=44

Are they identical to the Vortex Alu case and were just relabeled?

The Vortex one costed about the same, but had major flaws and quality issues...

From what I have understood, they're the same design, but Tex changed manufacturers and has much tighter QC than Vortex.  Don't take that as fact though since it could have been someone's speculation.

The grey keycaps are regular imsto thick PBT (get from imsto). The RGBs are indeed BSP blanks (can get them from Originative).

A group buy for what? A DE language pack add-on for the all-row-3 SA-profile Nuclear Data set? Or for a new all-row-3 keycap set with DE language pack? To have a successful group buy, you need broad appeal with low price and high order count. Not sure you're going to get that for a language-specific set. Also, there are a couple group buys going on now, that probably have drained everyone's wallets at the moment. If you decide to start a keycap group buy, it would probably be in your best interest to wait a couple months.

The TEX 80% cases are indeed better than what Vortex has to offer, but not necessarily better than their own 60% case.

Quote
TEX 60% case comes from a factory which taking order from Lian-Li. Anodizing is very beautiful and flawless.
Another factory handle the 80% case, which is cheaper and some flaw points in the case.

Regarding Filco Majestouch 2... are more custom cases compatible with the regular version or the ninja version since the LED's are in different places? Stupid question I know, I'm just arguing with myself which one I may put on my list to order.

I didn't think they had different LED locations. I was under the impression they had the same dimensions, just different aesthetics.

How does one tune a keyboard? I've heard really nice things about the build quality of the works from GON and margo and was wondering how they do tune the keyboard. I don't have one built from them but I would like to tune an upcoming keyboard of mine.

That is a question I asked when I first saw that termbecause it doesn't really make sense.  The more I learned, the more I discovered that it's such a vague term that almost anything where you do something other than just installing switches could be considered "tuning"; from the more time intensive lubing, switch swapping, and stickering (which is what I consider "tuning") to the less time intensive testing MX Blues for their click and only using ones that are clicky and similarly clicky, all of it falls under definitions I've seen.

I've actually been wondering myself. I've never gotten confirmation or seen a picture that those LED covers have fit over 2x3x4mm rectangle LEDs.

The caps aren't the same width and I think they might be similar lengths. IBM caps are much thicker in width.

G80-18XXHXXXX
G80-3000HXXXX
G80-1000HXXXX

Older variants of these. You'll still have to look at them, because Cherry changed from WKL to Winkey without really changing product codes.

By KMAC level quality, I assume you mean you'd like a CNC'd aluminum case that is cut from a solid bar? Don't believe there's a case like that. AKmalamute is running a layered steel case buy. So the case is made of layered sheets of steel.

A really high quality E-dox case that I've always loved is the ones that kurplop made. Think he called it the Ergodock. You could try contacting him if you're into them.

1. Learn 3D CAD.
2. Design ErgoDox case.
3. Have case machined.
4. Profit!

Yup, you could also go to the DIY route for your case.

Which of the Cherry vintage variants have ANSI winkeyless layouts with DS caps?

G80-18XXHXXXX
G80-3000HXXXX
G80-1000HXXXX

Older variants of these. You'll still have to look at them, because Cherry changed from WKL to Winkey without really changing product codes.
Most winkeyless boards would be HXU e.g HAU, HEU etc. Most winkey boards would be HXXUS like HRMUS.

Also, there's a bunch of 3XXX and 1XXX.

KBT Pure - Can you add a plate?  Still case-swappable with Poker cases?

Like the Pure, not the Pure Pro, want to swap out the switches anyway, would prefer plate-mount.  Especially one with notches.....

Yes but you'll need the place specifically for the Pure. I ordered one from the GH60 buy for mine.

Is a Taipan or Avior 7000 better for large hands? My measurement is 17 cm wrist crease to top of middle finger. I don't want overhang anywhere.

Consider the Zowie FK1 as well. It's a good mouse.

Also, have you read this thread?

I browsed that thread a bit. I'm just looking at ambidextrous models, size wise = probably 5 inch min. I'm leaning toward Mionix here so far except that there's a lack of reliable review sources or my Googleplex is broken right now. If I could find someone here that has one…

They look like normal Cherry doubleshots.
This sucks more than anything that has ever sucked before.
