Reading your post is very entertaining, Elrick. It's my new way of learning English.  :))

Please know that I am essentially a Mine Worker on a remote site sending in my version of English, which is actually quite eloquent because I hardly use any 4-letter expletives (try to keep it down to a minimum).

So yes you shall get my degraded form of Australian English from the bottom end of town where we normally communicate via grunting and swearing on a daily basis  :thumb: .

Also I'd like to ask your opinions on plate materials.  Just to get an idea on demand.
SS, Alu or Polycarb. which one would you choose?

Definitely Stainless Steel because anything else would be sub-standard and that's not what we are about here on Geekhack.

Thanks for registering interest, everyone!
I think we already have enough to make a push for non-green pcbs.
I personally think red is just as ugly as green.....so I'd say we go with white.
Feel free to voice your opinion though.

I wanna red pcb & alu plate. But alu case is quite heavy, so i think i 'll use cherry case instead. I hope they 'll fit cherry case :)

How easy is it to put the assembled PCB/plate into a plastic 1800 case? The usb port is in the middle on Leeku PCB while both 1800 cases I have (G80-1838 and G81-7000) have the wire on the right. Is there a lot of interior space to direct the wire from middle to right?

EDIT: I just observed there seemed to be USB port place on the right too. Does the PCB support both USB port position?

If you're using it with an original case, you only use the USB port for programming. Then you solder a USB or PS2 cable to the four cable pins.

Would it perfectly fit with a G81-1800 case? I heard you have to shave some things off but I'm not sure if you have to with this PCB

I would be down to buy a white pcb fer the Leeku 3000 with the backplate.
Keyboards:  Final Fantasy XI XIth Anniversary keyboard (topre 45g) | Realforce Rgb (topre 45g, Eva Noctilucous keyset) | Mionix Zibal 60 (mx black, Vortex doubleshot) | Greymark (white alps) | IBM model M (found in the trash!)

BTW, why do you guys like 1800 over 3000?

Also, any chance of getting a white 3000 PCB + plate combo?

I would love to upgrade my G80-3000

I like the 1800 over the 3000, for the layout, for one it provides a layout similar to modern laptop keyboard layouts. Also my work involves a fair amount of usage of the arrow keys, and they just feel at a more natural location for me on the 1800.

It should fit G81 case.  I'm not sure about shaving things off.  Maybe someone else could answer it.....

for the same reason people prefer TKL over full size board?
1800 is smaller and doesn't take up as much desk space and still has 99% of the keys.

It doesn't look like there's enough demand for 3000 pcbs to produce another batch in different color.

Thanks for the explanation! I just never used a 1800 before and wasn't aware of its smaller size.

I do have two G80-3000 keyboards though, one that has a broken PCB. I am definitely in for a 3000 plate + PCB combo.

If that's the case, 3000 plate+pcb will work very nicely for you :)

The only thing I don't like about the case is the N C S over the LEDs. I think it would look better without that. I still want the board though.

I might be in for this. I also agree that the case would look better without the LED "legends."

This is a pretty random question, but would it be possible to get something like the Raptor K1, then use the PCB to change it to ANSI layout?

Are the Raptor K1 cases different, structurally, from the Cherry 1800 cases so that they can't take the Leeku PCB and Plate?

Off the top of my head I remember these for the 1800:
- All LEDs on - All LEDS on at max brightness (Dictated by resistors used)
- Pulsing LEDs - The LEDs fade in/out
- LEDs on when typing - LEDs light up when you press a key
- LEDs off when typing - LEDs stay on when not typing, so as soon as you press a key, they turn off
- LEDs off  - No LEDs on, ever.

I'll update once again, once I get back home.

TX1800; PCB & Plate is not compatible with Cherry case/PCB. I thought that is PCB in optional
All PCBs in optional is compatible Cherry stock case. Thanks for your help to understand exactly.

So I'm still wondering, does the actual GB have a start date, or is it still in the IC stage?
i will make 3rd proto Gray Housing.
GB will be started in January.

Damn those cases look awesome but I still despise the NCS lettering for the LEDs. I would love to have it without that
Sorry...  :(
I will ask the factory to make without Lettering...
But it's highly unlikely.

I don't think it'll stop me from buying if I can gather the gonna but it is just a personal preference.

I like it, damn I was waiting for the Light saver but I think this one might look better and hopefully does not have the software problems that the Light saver has as I read here on the forums. I'm in for 1 complete order: case,PBC,plate. Got few questions:

1. Will there be ridges opened on the plate around the switch mounting square holes so we can remove the top covers if we need to clean up, asking this cause today I ended up cleaning my TrikX that had around 20 keys that had chatter because of dust.....

2. The back of the keyboard looks exactly like my TrikX, is this the same guy that made the TrikX case that will be making this one?

3. Color options on the steel plate? or just silver?

I'm in on this one and if there is any type of vote for PCB colors, this is the colors I would go most: Black PCB or White PCB, not too crazy about the red PCB, but the green one simple screams like the old PCB's back in the old days, yellow also is horrible.

1) can open switch without desoldering
2) same designer... you're right.
3) plate has 3 options (SUS. silver ALU. clear sanded PC)
* pcb color options... not yet.

cool I like the fact that is the same designer of the keyboard, I'm impressed with the TrikX design and heftiness.
