I agree.   My brother went to Dive Instructor school in Marathon.  I used to go down there, key largo, & key west to go diving frequently.

Ah, very nice. Marathon is a good Keys experience without going to so far as Key West. Although I think somewhere further north may win out this year. There's always next time though! Plenty of time for me to entice people to visit the Sunshine State.

Florida in general would be nice. I think Orlando would be easier to get flights to (maybe cheaper as well?). And if people are driving, it's a little closer.

There's a crapload of people in Orlando/central Florida, too. What about Vero Beach? It's in between South FL and Orlando/central Florida, is cheap as hell for hotel rooms, conference rooms, etc. and has nice beaches.
