[SHIPPED] Tai Hao 110 Coloured DS Set GB

There seems to be much discussion on our part regarding the space bars.
Our current plans are to incorporate polycarbonate spacebars for each color(with the exception of black, having a normal black space bar or a clear polycarbonate space bar)

So red sets will have red polycarbonate space bars and yellow will have yellow polycarbonate space bars.
We will be hosting a group buy soon for the space bars once the bumble bee set group buy has met it's deadline (Aug 24th) for those who are interested.
We will also be providing standard white space bars for those who prefer not to have a polycarbonate version.

We will not be pursuing other solid colored space bars for now.

I am not really sure though whether I'd like to have a single polycarbonate key on my board. Might look a bit off. Maybe it should come with a matching polycarbonate ESC key to have something else in the same style on the board.

I assume those will be made by SP and not match the Tai Hao profile right?

The Esc is a good idea and we may include that option in the groupbuy.

Isn't SP lower profile usually?

These should be OEM from what I can see.

Yes, SP is lower profile and Tai Hao is OEM. The difference concerning the spacebar will be minimal though.

Yes, SP will be manufacturing them thus they will not match the Tai Hao profile but the difference should be minimal/negligible.

Just received the set. The red looks really good. I'd say it's really close match with the klaxon set.

For the space bar, they only had 5x on hand at that time.



The few keys on the bottom are from klaxon.

These keycaps will not be very backlight friendly for the Shine 3, but you might as well get both - you probably will eventually anyway.

Looks nice! Although not really fan of black in general (QFR stock caps are black)

Those who plan to use these caps for QFR, what's the plan for LED light keys? Simply cover them up or some how make a cut?

I'll probably either drill a small hole in the side, or just not worry about it. Caps lock is the only state key that really matters on a TKL, and it's quite obvious what the state is as soon as you start typing anything.

Edit: there is the Win lockout key too, which could be important for gaming. I never use it myself, but if I did I'd probably see if the light is visible without a window, and if not drill it.

Yeah I use win lock key more often than caps lock.
