Would an SP spacebar be taller or shorter?  I personally might not mind a height difference if the colors are a perfect match.  That's just me though, of course.

The spacebar will be lower from SP.

But I agree: I'd rather take a matching color than a matching profile

I think it would be better to get hands on the sets and a color ring from SP in order to get a good match.  A delay for the spacebars is not a big deal to me at all.  Worth it to get a match rather than have it just off and be annoyed.

I've seen a handful of geekhackers that has a set of the colour rings.  Don't remember which ones. If they are nice enough, I can send the samples to him/her and have it compared..

Awwww that sucks, sounds like SP is gonna be a better choice then.  Maybe we should explore on what other profile they have that's taller in height.

Also yayyyy seems like red and blue is coming along nicely to the MOQ, though green yellow and black slowed down I think

Yeah, waiting for them to see if I can get some samples of the colours.  Then maybe go on classifieds and see if I can get some of the colour rings (only need the 4 ranges colours we have).  Best if I can borrow them from someone.

1) Space bars - I would personally prefer the profile to match than the colour. Especially if the black ones from WASD match. Otherwise typing will feel a bit odd... and some of us do actually like to use our keyboards for their intended purpose and not just look at them lol.

Would love a group buy for WASD black spacebars, not stressed about getting coloured ones at all.

2) Modifiers - Got no use whatsoever for 1x modifiers, but I agree $1 extra is not too bad... for one set. I've ordered 7 sets, so with that and shipping it will push the order over $100. Some of the other guys have ordered 10+ sets, and it will add up for those guys.

Still, will go along with the extra $1 if it means we reach MOQ.

3) Elton, a little while ago I seem to recall you mentioned you might contact Tai Hao and ask if we could drop the MOQ to 400? Any luck with that? Even if it's an extra $1 a set, I'd rather put the $1 towards reducing the MOQ since red is pretty much at 400, and blue's not too far behind.

1) WASD already informed me that they won't be able to do a group discount on their space bars.

2) Yeah, that's the one thing I worry most. They are a low percentage of orders, but they add up the counts and equals to several orders. I'm still deciding.

Having the WASD Sampler Kit (strongly recommended btw), I know the yellow is much paler than any other yellow keycaps I have.  The other colours are similarly paler.  WASD used to have a dark blue, but had problems printing onto it IIRC so switched to the pale blue.

So WASD space bars, although readily available in a range of colours at a competitive price, is unlikely to be a close match for the Tai Hao sets.

flip the SP profile spacebar and call it the new thing to do should go well with the OEM

edit: speaking of black why the hell is it the least popular color?? you guys don't want to do two-color scheme? i can't imagine having the entire board in yellow or red. i would be hugely disappointed to see it fail to reach enough
