Great!

We now need only 2 yellows and 32 greens to get the ball rolling.

I'd imagine it will take less than the estimated 6 weeks to produce since that estimate was for over 2500 sets.

Yay!  Thanks jil!

Now come on yellow payments!!1!!!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

If you only want 1 set..you can just wait after the GB is finished and buy it from a vendor..

I'm done accepting orders now.

If everything goes as planned, I will ask Tai Hao for an invoice on Sunday night and pay them by Monday or Tuesday depending on how fast PayPal transfer the money to my bank account.

Elton whats the status now? how many of each color need to be paid? I would say wait until we hit MOQ on payments and then don't wait anymore.

We only need 30 sets of green to reach MOQ.  That's what I'm doing actually.

I've talked to KeyPop already and he generously agreed to add the rest of the green MOQ to his order by the end of today if it doesn't reach it.  After that I'm closing it and cancelling all invoices.

It's not bad at all.  69/424 didn't pay. That's about 16% unpaid orders.

I don't know, to me it's kind of sad that 16% isn't bad, :(.  Especially given the price and flexibility you've put in.  But thanks KeyPop for letting the green keys happen!

16% is a high number, that includes me too sadly.

But, did they all respond? Because worse than someone cancelling is people not responding, that bugs me a lot!!!

Have you tried organizing anything offline involving 400+ people? It's frustrating as f***. 16% seems like a reasonable number of cancellings in my opinion

I'm sure all those who backed out had reasons, but it would have been polite to let elton know.

We know who you all are ... ;) :))

Elton, is it too late to cancel orders? If possible, can I cancel my order? Unexpected expenses came up.

If not, it's fine. I'll find another way to pay them.

Paypal sucks! We all know that but it sucks even more if you don't play by their rules! Orders have to be flagged as delivered. If you fail in that it may work for a few dozens but as soon as you reach hundreds of transactions they will likely close your account. Don't blame Paypal, blame yourself.

Just copying that here from matt3o's thread, maybe it's worth considering.

I have to submit each transaction as shipped/delivered?  I'm not sure why I can't do that.  I used to be able to pay and print shipping labels off PayPal, but now it's not even an option.  I spoke to a PayPal Rep regarding this, but she doesn't even know why!

Also, I already spoke to PayPal on the phone multiple times regarding the huge amount of money coming into my account.  Right now my account is restricted only to a point where I can't close my account, but all I have to do is show them an invoice from Tai Hao and the restriction will be reversed.

@elton: I have no experience with this, sorry. I just saw this and remembered that 7bit also immediately flags invoices as "shipped" when he gets payments. You'd have to ask Matteo or 7bit or other GB veterans.

@rowdy: thanks!   ;)

PayPal is beyond stupid. I've stopped using it a long time ago for my freelancing business, after they made me lose a lot of money over a customer who claimed that I didn't deliver and ordered to have his payment cancelled. PayPal never accepted anything I presented as proof.

So glad it's officially a go for all colors! And I'd like to echo the thanks to Keypop.net for stepping up on this one. I hope those who missed out on this GB will go to Keypop.net to get their sets. I'll definitely be  recommending them whenever I can.

Thanks to Elton for all the work so far, and it's really just begun!

I do have to say Keypop.net is pretty awesome, they really care about making customers happy :)

I will need a 6.25 spacebar for my poker and pure. Wondering if the colors will match with WASD spacebars.
