Heh I thought about it, but them I haven't contributed much to this thread anyway.  Besides, I've been away from this keyboard settupping a newer workstation for my other half.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Is 70% Isopropyl Alcohol good enough to clean the flux? Or do I need alcohol of higher concentration?

70% Isopropyl Alcohol is good enough for some type of rosin flux but you should have 90% or 99%.

I'd recommend 99%, or at least 90%, as most rosin flux can be pretty darn hard to remove, many people have issue with even 99% ISO.

Do all Model F keyboards have die cast metal cases? From what I understand the 4704 models do, but I'm wondering specifically if models like the 122-keys or unsavers do. Apparently F-122's have "black metal undersides", but what about the top?

It's just the 4704s with metal tops, unless there are some less known models with them too. AT, F122, XT all have plastic tops.

I have seen a couple F XT listed on ebay recently with the sellers claiming they are all metal. I even messaged one and the guy said twice it was all metal but I didn't buy it because there was no way it was.

There ARE two all metal F XT models that I know of but they are clearly marked and identifiable as all metal.

Are the sliders in the HHKB Type-S the same as the purple silent Realforce sliders, aside from the plastic color? Or do they employ a different silencing technique?
Please consider carefully before you decide to comment, for Jesus.

Nope, he doesn't like that feature as with tight caps you can pull the switch top out by just pulling the keycap.

Well the whole Ducky line uses Cherry stabilizers. So Zero, Shine 2, Shine 3, the Year of the X (except year of the horse) boards are all options too. Leopold boards use Cherry. I think Keycool has them.

I'm looking for a full size, non-backlit board , and the Ducky Premier DK9008P seems the best choice for me because of the availability and iso option.  It is the only ducky which isn't loaded with LEDs, only the wasd keys has them but surely they must be disablable.  Are the caps on these cherry or oem profile? http://www.jimms.fi/tuote/DK9008P-BFIPHZHB2
