I think we still may be waiting on one last guy to pay.
I won't name names, but maybe it might be a good idea to give up his key to someone else who is willing to pay?

Once it reaches them, I will invoice everybody.

And spamray, once this is successful, no, I will not get a vendor forum, as I am not looking to make money out of this, any extra money I make, I will declare and that would only be for my time.

I'll have this as a GB, a fixed time frame and then done, maybe do another id there is demand and I have time. Since getting one key cut in acrylic is not feasible when getting it done from a machinist and you don't have one at work, so this is going by the GB model. If the mods/admins feel differently, they can give me a vendor forum, I'll still be running it the same way.

I don't see myself making money of these in the long run as well, more to provide a service, there is hardly anything we from my part of the word have given to this forum, hopefully I can provide a little.

And I was really happy when one vendor on this forum inquired about the Indian mechanical keyboard and accessories market, well they atleast realise we exist.

I don't think so, there is an example of what some of the work might look like in the geek hack 6th anniversary key chain thread
similar technique, but personally I am rather excited to not know what it will look like so when I see mine in person I can be extra surprised!

No there isn't so far and that is what the project is about, if I had prototypes done, I would have gone straight for a GB, these are generous people investing in my adventure blindly.

I did post picture of some parts I got made and corrections that have to be done, I will once again first get some more sample of how the 4 parts fit together. If that is good, then the visual outcome of the keycap is semi-subjective, some might like it some might not.

I didn't set a deadline for the exact reason domo has mentioned, I am in no position to be harsh or point a finger at those investing into this venture, albeit, I would liek to mention, that this isn't a donation as such, it is more of a investment, if it turns out well, you save $6 on each keycap you ordered this round, if it fails, you lose $3, so it is more of a venture

All said and done, I am still greatful and thankful to all those that participated given how new I am on the forum, my short tempered drama thinf and investing blindly.

This is raw from the laser, I haven't fused any of the layers or got the top layer polished. Polishing will be done after the fusing is done.



Some more designs. I've removed the protective paper that is present on the acrylic on these. Some of them came out really good!

How sensitive are the guys to scratches ? As far as I know acrylic is not very good in that department :-(

Acrylic is prone to scratches, yes, but it can always be repolsihed
