Just got emailed about this splendid key-set;

Shipping date from Signature Plastics for the Hack'd Key-set, is April 16th 2015, sounds good to me  :thumb: .

(PS.  Love the email graphics, so in tune to the colour-way of our chosen key-set, kudos CTRL/ALT for keeping it real).

thanks so much sir

as ctrl alt has grown, we get more and more orders form outside of geekhack, yet we have only been providing updates here on gh, so we have been working hard to make the experience better for all users, so we made some fancy emails themed to each buy, and that was the first, we just sent a miami one out, and we will have a hyperfuse one out some time in the next couple days

Sadly I didn't get in on the real GB so no pretty e-mail for me, but I am liking the sound of this.  Three weeks for them to get from SP to Bunny then on to me, arriving on my birthday on the 7th?  If SP don't don't delay and customs are feeling friendly it might just happen :-X

Bunny if you still have spare sets I'd be interested in one for the Infinity standard layout I've got on order.

It looks like all the special keys I would need (short right shift and fn buttons) are included in this set...can anyone confirm this?

Yes, the Hack'd By Geeks set will fully support either layout of the Infinity, Hacker or Standard. :)

Yes it is a 6U. I don't see that in this set. Good catch. But mine is a standard so I won't need the 6U.

Barring a few out of row exceptions I have to wonder how this would look in an 1800 type configuration.

AFAIK 6U DSA space bars are available from SP. I wonder how many it would take to GB those in the right shade of gray.

They will do any number for a price. Probably want to get about 25+ for a good price, though. Someone could always put up an IC on PMK and get people to vote for it. :)

DSA yes, but this discussion from Nuclear Data Green (an SA set) suggests you're out of luck to match Hack'd, but it's worth an e-mail to check it's still true.

what about 6u?

A bloody G80-1865 uses that size, a real pain when it comes to Group Buys because SP doesn't have the molding for fitment to these brilliant keyboards  :'( .

I think the current 660M uses that size as well........

Or keyboard companies sticking to the standard layouts perhaps?
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

I got in on the GMK Hyperfuse GB a day or two before it ended.  I saw post on reddit about it and decided to check it out at CtrlAlt.  While I was there I saw the Hack'd by Geeks set and that I had missed out on it.  I joined this site just so I could message Bunny to see if there were any extras of this set.  I managed to find a full set of Skull Squadron keycaps that I have on my WASD v1 (brown) right now.  I love them.  I'm going to have to put them somewhere else once Hack'd comes in.  I don't have enough keyboards for all the awesome keycaps that I have on the way.  Sorry for rambling, I'm just really excited about this set.

I modified enough keyboards earlier in the sentence with don't have.  That imparts the meaning that I have an insufficient number of keyboards.  I believe this might be a little more familiar around here.

BTW, you may have to explain what you mean above, as I'm not sure anyone on GeekHack is familiar with the expression enough keyboards.

I modified enough keyboards earlier in the sentence with don't have.  That imparts the meaning that I have an insufficient number of keyboards.  I believe this might be a little more familiar around here.
Usually around here it's just "MOAR KEYBOARD"

Hopefully that that is the case.  And I wouldn't suggest asking 7bit how their timelines seem to hold up...   ;D

Funny those rolling deadlines only seem to affect 7bit's buys.

Sounds like the world needs a spacebar artisan.
I could attempt to do it.

Regarding this GB, I was mostly joking. I don't think Infinity Hacker will ever see an SA profile set, since SP only offers 6U spacebars for DSA and DCS profiles. The closest SA is 6.2 (not 6.25):

http://solutionsinplastic.com/pdfs/DSAFamily.pdf
http://solutionsinplastic.com/pdfs/SAFamily.pdf

That said, there really isn't anyone out there making custom spacebars (besides Ducky putting animals on theirs). That might be a good way to make oneself stand out as a cap artisan...

That's really cool. And I can no longer say I've never seen a DIY spacebar.

Congratulations on your originality! I would used the old "you broke the mold" metaphor but after reading about what that spacebar did to your injector, I'll let it go...

Thank you too :)

I wasn't around 2 months ago, so when I saw the Hack'd by Geeks keyscheme for the first time, I really wished I joined in 2 months ago, jumped on the opportunity without thinking much, this will be my first SA set :)

I'm also a big fan of the ctrlalt / jdcarpe keysets
