Finding dimensions for PCB cutout holes
« on: Sun, 28 February 2021, 07:56:51 »
Working on some 3D printed macro pads, had the idea of making it hotswap.
Had an idea to make sort of a PCB, basically 2 layers holding hotswap sockets, and thought I might as well make cutout for the pins for proper fitting and alignment.
But I cant seem to find dimenions for the PCB, only diameter for the holes, my mockup is fairly accurate but the 2 extra PCB pins are definitely too far apart and cause them to bend.

Is there a blueprint available for PCB cutout dimenions?

Here's an example of my plan

See the Cherry MX datasheet :)

You might also want to see what Leslieann had done with her 3D printed hotswap

Seems like I missed that section of Geekhack, good to know, thank you!
