Faulty LED on Ducky Shine 3

I purchased a Ducky Shine 3 Brown Switch Orange LED keyboard  last Friday. I plugged the keyboard in and noticed the "i" key is dimming and looks like it's going to die anytime soon. I ignored it first and tried out the different lighting modes and the "i" key ended up dying. I had a RMA for it when I took it back on Saturday and they had to ship another one from another store. So they told me to come and pick it up on Tuesday.

I went today and learned my lesson of trying the keyboard there cause it takes a long time for me to go to the store(one hour).  I plugged it in and noticed that this time it's the up arrow key that's not working. I ended up getting a full refund which was really nice of them,but now I am scared to purchase any Backlit Mechanical keyboard.

I currently own a Ducky Dk2108 and read all around the forum that The Ducky shine 3 is a very solid built keyboard. My question is, Is it that I am extremely unlucky or does anyone have the same issue as me?

I have three Ducky Shine - all LEDs work perfectly.

I also have a CM Trigger which is broken (functionality wise), but all LEDs work there too.

I think you were just unlucky.  It does happen occasionally, where you get one faulty keyboard, swap it over the the second keyboard has the same fault.  During the last couple of days someone had a similar situation with MX blue switches not clicking on three successive keyboards.

According to http://forums.ncix.com/forums/topic.php?id=2665565, Ducky had a recall recently for problems with LED backlights.  Maybe it's not just the red LEDs that are affected.

well **** happens , as said it was a bad batch. Shouldnt be a reason to not buy backlit keyboards IMO.
