MJ2 rings when bottoming out.

After some deliberation I decided to go with what seemed like a safe bet - the Filco Majestouch 2 Ninja, with Browns. Now I've read some Brown hate around here but I really like how these feel, my first mechanical keyboard and I have almost only good things to say.

My one complaint, and it is quite a big one, is that when bottoming out the keyboard rings, I assume it's the metal plate inside but if anyone could give me a solution to this I would appreciate it, I have light tinnitus in one ear I don't normally hear but this ring is the exact same tone so it manages to draw my attention. I guess O-Rings would help dampen the sound, is there anything I need to know about O-rings as far as quality? O-rings are O-rings right?

It's called ping.  It's a filco feature.

Put in a couple of O-rings from my switch tester set and that seems to help.

Could also open it up and put some rubber drawer liner under the PCB.

I've done it and it works. Dampens the keyboard all together. This "ringing" is overrated...don't worry too much about it.

Ok I've tried not to worry about it but it's been nearly a month and this ping is driving me nuts.

Is this the product I'm looking for?

Its actually happening on the way up so outside of shortening the travel distance, o-rings, IMO, don't do much. The liner DOES help though...
