I dislike MX-Clear (too stiff) MX-Red/Black (need some tactile feedback).

Are Clears really that stiff?  I guess I'm used to Blues and Greens so maybe that's why they don't feel stiff to me.

They are deffinitly a lot stiffer coming from blues for me, but that's why I like them so much. Blues are too light for me, greens are just the right weight f, but they are to loud for the keyboard that i bring to class with me. Im also a lot more accurate on clears, i only get about 80 or so percent accuracy on blues, but in the high 90's on clears

You could do landing pads and/or O-rings to quiet the Greens, but Clears are nice too.  I have only been using Clears for 1/2 a week and I already like them way better than Browns and a little better than Blues but Greens are still holding out as my favorite...for now.

I only have experience with Cherry switches as of now, and green is currently my favorite. But clears are deffinitly right behind them, browns aren't nearly tactile enough for me. The next board i do will probably have greens in it. But for something i can take with me anywhere, i'm really liking my new board. Ill have to see how quiet i could make greens.

High typing angle hurt my wrists
This just means the keyboard is wrong for the desk/chair.

You should set the angle based on the height of your desk. If you have a high desk, you should have a steep angle. If you have a low desk or the keyboard is on your lap, you want it to be more nearly flat.

The noisier the better, I would write on a typewriter if I could.  If the keys are too quiet my house just doesn't sound right.   :)

I don't think I could ever go back to MX Brown's after getting Blues.  Anything slightly softer makes me cringe now.

Pretty much this. I hate light switches. I type fine on rubber domes but when I get to light switches like browns or reds I get exposed.

Also Browns are cancer on the hands. Pretty much anything lighter than blues I don't like.

Same as Connly33, I just made too many typos on my Ducky with blues. I'm in love with my greens with o-rings now. However it's still a little too noisy for the office. Looking forward to trying the clears in my ordered Whitefox. And if I don't like em as much, I guess I can always desolder the switches and change them...

Always SKCM Black, the late variation. They sound quite unlike any other Alps switch, including early SKCM Black. I used an AT101W for a long time at work, my colleagues didn't mind. But everyone's much more charmed with the NMB that's there now xD . I might replace it soon with a more, let's say, specialised board, soon, though.

Good to know. I had a pile of those boards at one point, ended up giving them all away. Was never a huge fan of them, the ones i had did not age well.

They were Blacks of some kind, I just know that I bought O-rings when the Green came in with the anticipation of putting them on but when I asked my closest co-workers if they were bothered by the sound they said it didn't sound any louder than the old keyboard.  Now we are in a larger office that has proper offices so it's even less of an issue, so I can click-and-clack-away on my Greens to my heart's delight without any complaints!

You want loud, so you picked MX blue? Weak sauce!

You should find a Selectric, a beam spring board with a solenoid clicker, or at least a Model F. :-)

There's only 5 other people in my office right now, so it's usually quite quiet. After getting my WASD v2 with greens, I was banished to another desk, further from my coworkers. Since I put o-rings on them, I'm allowed back :p Actually also like the feel better with o-rings on them.

Oh yeah, I saw a video of a beam spring board with the clicker enabled and it made me laugh out loud, that level of noise alone makes me want one xD . No idea how loud the Selectric is, but I think my Remington would give it a run for its money ;) .

awesome awesome board, but i would not use a case-less keyboard myself. it's just too naked for a shy person like me
definitely (still) want to try a beam spring board, and a hall effect one. doubt i'll ever type on one, however :(

Pretty sure that was just because the person making the video was working on it at the time. These beam spring boards in general have nice (ridiculously huge) cases.

I'm not a fan of linear switches, clicky switches as well, but they don't usually annoy me unless I have a hangover.

I don't hate any modern mechanical switch, they all have their charm. The only ones I hate are old Apple Macintosh keyboards (M0110 and M0110A) which feel (and sound) like scratching a chalkboard, hhhhhhorrible.

The only ones I hate are old Apple Macintosh keyboards (M0110 and M0110A) which feel (and sound) like scratching a chalkboard, hhhhhhorrible.
You just tried one in bad condition, full of dust/grit.

When brand new, tee mount Alps switches are butter smooth, better than the best MX black switch ever made.

I'm not a fan of MX Blacks personally. Never really got used to them in my 7G.
