GON's Side LEDs and extra electronics won't let the PCB be an immediate fit into a Tex Aluminum case. You'll want to use the acrylic and modify it. The screw holes fit as asked though.

I've put a Gon PCB in a TEX Aluminum case no problem. Granted I didn't use any bottom SMD LEDs, but I don't know why you would want to.

Is there any other type of aluminium case that is rather simple to acquire that you know would fit ?

Find any case without ridges, really. The MassDrop cast aluminum cases work, or the cases on Amazon right now also work (I think they're called iQunix Lambo cases).

Sweet! Found this one: http://dro.ps/b/eBi1m6F

Thank you! :)

Yeah, what he said. As long as there is not smd leds at the bottom, it should fit the alu case just fine :D

Already have a NerD TKL with an acrylic case for that  ;)

I have actually, but I'm more looking more for something with 4 keys along the side of the layout like this.
.

I've seen some Korean boards like this, but wanted to see if other places had it too.

The buy already ran on Massdrop, but you may be able to pick one up second-hand.

Yah I saw that too. Looks beautiful and form is just what I wanted. I'm just looking into whether or not I can make a custom case for it and add some LED for the switches and for some underglow (rgb underglow).

Would the RGB LEDs from Winkeyless work on the bottom of the board? If so, what would I need? Resistors come pre-soldered, right?

So what LEDs can I use for the bottom? The SMDs from GON?

Yeah, they're standard 1206 SMD LEDs. You can get them on eBay for pretty cheap.

Hello, I'm sorry that I don't know anything. All I want to do is buy parts to build a hhkb layout board and want to be able to put LEDs through the switches and in to the pcb.
(short right shift, 2x1u instead of the standard 2u backspace on top row, bottom row: 1u/1.5u/7u/1.5u/1u, and stepped caps would be nice.)
So I guess I need a pcb, plate, and stabilizers. Am I in the right place?

Hi. Sorry for the lack of updates. I'm going to merge the winkeyless and HHKB buy into this one. Any orders for winkeyless and HHKB plates can be edited or cancelled now if you want. Still waiting for samples...

Will you handle merging the orders? I wanna add things from this IC to the HHKB plate I ordered.
Also, ETA on this GB?

No ETA yet. Need the samples and then shortly after, the GB will start.

I will probably delete orders and send a message to everyone to refill the form. I know this is very inconvenient, but it is way easier for me.

Hi, I am new to custom keyboard.
I checked the GON website, it offers Nerdy GUI to customize the keyboard layout but it is only available on windows.
Is there a similar software to edit keyboard layout in mac osx?
I don't really mind if it does not have the friendly interface, but getting a windows computer to edit the layout is too much for me  :D.

The software is Windows only. I checked this up for someone a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunate for for people who use OSX exclusively.

I'm in for a black plate and a black PCB, I just need to know, does the PCB is ISO compatible ?
OR even two of both... In that case one of the plates would be Red.

Of course. ISO is the only layout!

It will work only if you're not soldering the smd leds but other than that, should be fine.
