From my little workshop Wuqi.works. I'm excited to introduce my new project keyboard - Baby Dragon

This project is 60% layout with o-ring mount. The theme of the keyboard inspired from the movie How to train the dragon "Toothless"

Specifications:
- Typing angle: 8°
- Dimensions: 294.7mm x 108.9mm
- Front height: 19.06mm
- Case marterial: 6061 aluminum
- O-ring mount
- Clip-in stab support
- Inner weight: copper
- Backplate: brass/copper with sandblasting and clear cover or Black/silver aluminum anodized
- Fullbuild : 1.6 kg

It's red color on the first prototype. I running with few more color: Black, Blue, Grey and Pink. i'll update when new color on hand

Yep, I love that movie. The theme of the keyboard is inspired from Toothless.

Super cute little 60 and it doesn't sound too bad either! I would love to pair an all black one with Noche Negra base from GMK Mictlan!

On that prototype, HHKB is not possible. 1st prototype i made for my personal hobby. I think will have something change on next prototype.

I filled out the IC form, but want to ask for HHKB in the forum as well, preferably with 3-1-3 split SB option for both HS and solder PCB.

Well personally id go with a CF or FR4 option. I think carbon would fit the aesthetics of the board and the toothless dragon theme, thus would be my preferred choice but even if you just wanna limit it to only aluminum I think its fine.

I like aluminium plates, but having more options is definitely a plus.

I like this, but I‘m a little concerned about the curves on the side. Looks like pretty visible machining marks.
Would love if this could be fixed.

Nice design, gives me a real OG vibe since it's shape is reminiscent of those old tray mount Hammer 60% cases that were very popular when around 2014/2015. I agree with KenGuru that I'd like to see tighter machining on the finalized case, also would personally like to see it made from 6063 alu for cleaner machining & anno. Either way I definitely dig the design & price point you're shooting for, GLWIC!

Would love if this could be fixed.

It looks like for whatever reason that portion of the board did not get polished or buffed which is why there is still remnants of heavy machine lines. That type of severe radial tool pathing isn't gonna be clean no matter what tho. Unless they use something like a 1/16th" Ball Nose EM lol. Or maybe even a 1mm (which would take hella long adding to the overall cost) Just looks like they need to polish and then buff that lightly before they finish it and it should look much much better (Am a machinist for reference)

Nice, that seems like a better solution. Since you're a machinist could you let me know if I'm right or wrong about 6063 vs 6061 as far as machining goes? I've always been told 63 is easier to machine & finish while 61 is more of a structural material that is harder to finish. Just looking for another opinion so I am not spreading misinformation, thanks!
