IBM vs Unicomp

I have the impression that the IBM Model M has a higher pitch sound than the Customizer 104. Am I the only with that impression?

I'd say the Model M is pingier from the spring sound.  Otherwise the same.

Yes, pingier. That is exactly what I was trying to say. That said, why is it pingier? That's the question.

That can explain why. I just could not find a plausible reason to explain this since they are basically identical keyboards. I need to remove the silicone grease from my Customizer so that I can use it from time to time just for fun.

Here's  an idea.  Do the dental floss mod.  Over time you should be able to soak up all that grease.

You mean that the grease should get off the spring the more I type? I thought about this, but then again, I wonder where the grease will go though and if it will cause any kind of problem once is went "down." The other thing that bothers me is that I was not able to inject the same amount of grease in each swith. As a result some of them feel quite different. Some of them even feel mushy.

I'm assuming the dental floss will soak up the grease.  Then pull them.

Did not think about this one.
