I have the impression that the IBM Model M has a higher pitch sound than the Customizer 104. Am I the only with that impression?

Yes, pingier. That is exactly what I was trying to say. That said, why is it pingier? That's the question.

That can explain why. I just could not find a plausible reason to explain this since they are basically identical keyboards. I need to remove the silicone grease from my Customizer so that I can use it from time to time just for fun.

You mean that the grease should get off the spring the more I type? I thought about this, but then again, I wonder where the grease will go though and if it will cause any kind of problem once is went "down." The other thing that bothers me is that I was not able to inject the same amount of grease in each swith. As a result some of them feel quite different. Some of them even feel mushy.
